January opened his mouth and prayed for something witty to tumble out, but nothing was forthcoming. “Honestly, this is a family show!” Gale gave an exaggerated tsk and picked up the sprig of mistletoe, examining it for a moment before pocketing it. “I'm saving this for later,” they glittered, and winked at the cameras. January was sure he saw an intern physically swoon at the back of the room. Gale's acting was impeccable as ever, and January gratefully grasped the lifeline of their successful distraction from January's speechlessness, laughing along and probably blushing as Gale pretended to scold the producers.
