HOUSE MD OC INTRO

Hey everyone, I noticed my best friend on here along with a few other collegues, so I figured, what the heck, might as well join. My name’s Neven Antonov, and I’m a cardiologist at Princeton Plainsboro :) I’m 38 years old (yeesh, how did that happen), and I was originaly born and raised in Russia before somehow finding my way here.

Outside of the hospital, I’m also an artist, which surprises people more often than you’d think. I really enjoy painting whenever I get the time, it’s kind of my way of unwinding after long shifts and too much hospital chaos. Not sure what else to put here, but I’m looking forward to meeting people on here and maybe sharing some of my art along the way.

Fun facts:

He's freakishly tall, around like 6'9"

He has a Russian accent but its kind of mixed as he moves a lot

He's not the brightest star in the sky😓 despite being a cardiologist he's not very socially or street smart

He has ADHD

He owns a barn owl

He's actually super well off

HIS WIFE DIVORCED HIM HAAAAHAAAAA

He loves hiking and nature in general

Smoking addiction

He's unlabelled with no preference:) he likes who he likes

He has a daughter named Ksenia with his ex wife and another kid on the way with Eira heh

Eira got up, shifting to make sure her bump didn’t hit her desk. she walked to the door, opening it and heading out of her office.

she walked down the hall, clipboard at her side, her heels clicking on the floor as she went to her boyfriends wing. she felt a little lightheaded, but considering her low amount of blood iron, she expected it. so she ignored it.

she got to his wing of the hospital, walking down the hall. when suddenly.. her water broke.

Neven had been moving quickly between rooms when he finally noticed her. He walked over without thinking, only catching the wet patch on the floor at the last second-- too late. His foot slipped, and he stumbled, barely managing to catch himself.

He glanced down, then back up at her, realization hitting immediately.

"Дерьмо.."

Eira’s face flushed, embarrassed. a soft whimper left her lips, she tried to stand or at least sit up. it looked like she was on the verge of tears.

“i’m fine… i just..”

she sighed, tears pricking at the corner of her eyes. she reached up, wiping away the wetness. she couldn’t be caught like this.. so…vulnerable.

He glances around-- the cardiology wing isn’t exactly packed, but it’s far from empty either. A couple of nurses linger by the station, a patient monitor beeping steadily somewhere down the hall, the quiet hum of the unit suddenly feeling too loud, too exposed. His gaze flicks back to her, to the unmistakable spreading damp on the floor, and his stomach tightens. He chews at the skin of his lower lip, hard enough to sting, forcing his thoughts to line up into something clinical instead of panicked.

"Don't worry, I'll get you a wheelchair and we can head down to Labour and Delivery, ok?"

He speaks with a kind of forced softness, like he’s trying to keep the moment contained, controlled, but it doesn’t quite land.

Eira nods, taking his hand and using him as leverage to get up.

she sat in the wheelchair that he got her, clutching her stomach in pain. she didn’t expect today to be the day that her water broke… but alas.

you would expect grunts from such a tough woman, but no. it was all gentle whimpers falling from her lips. like she was trying to hold back from crying, or exploding.

Neven praises her under his breath, trying not to be so loud as to not embarrass her further.

As soon as he gets her into a room (after almost an hour of trying), he closes the blinds, shuts the door and sits next to her on the bed.

"How are you feeling, Красивый?"

Do not feel bad for that. I understand why you didn’t stop her. Hell, if I was your height and weight, I would’ve been scared too. That is, if I didn’t want to hurt her.

He rolls over, now facing her.

"Just be here.. with me.. please.. if you can find it in you to forgive me—"

She reaches out, her hand on his cheek.

“Neven, baby. I’ve long since forgiven you. It’s okay. I know why you did it, and it’s not your fault.

I will not hate you for something you didn’t ask for.”

He chokes, trying not to sob violently right then and there.

"Ok.."

His voice comes out shaky.

She pulls him in, holding him against her while rubbing his back. Encouraging him to cry it out.

“I’m here for you.”

He sobs for a while, clawing at her back like she's going to disappear into thin air.

"Mm.. love you.."

He says over and over in between his pathetic cries as if it's the only thing keeping him sane, keeping her from leaving him.
