At the end of the day my thoughts always come back to you, And they keep me awake as I struggle to understand the truth, Which of us is at fault for our relationship not making it through, and what I could've changed to still be laying here with you But let me apologize for whatever I did to push you away I blacked out the last time you told me you loved me and I have no idea what it was that I said I should've told you how much I appreciate you and how I felt the same way I should've added that when it comes to love I'm really not at all brave And that I've been hurt so many times it's easy for me to stray I should've of asked you for some patience and to meet me halfway That if you would be so kind to talk me through it I'd be happy to obey And if I could get all the emotions out you'd understand why I needed to stay And that I couldn't bare the thought of not having you one day But I can't blame you for my insecurities or my fear of rejection You were always so lovely when it came to your affection And you gave nothing less than your support and protection And on the other hand all I gave you was objections   And I hope you know I loved you just the same And that every night I fall asleep thinking of your face And how I wish I would've told you to slow to slow down the pace And to reassure me that if I opened up to you it would be okay
