@drunkcherrycolapopsicle
the fact that international celebrities are addressing the farmers protest better than the indian government never fails to astound me.
now the government considers that people talking about the farmers protests is a bigger problem than the farmers protest itself
indian âcelebritiesâ are now talking about how ânon-indians should not interveneâ as if they or the government have been considerate about how the laws affect the farmers.
akshay kumar tweeted âlet this not divide us and our nationâ
so you think supporting the farmers against late stage capitalism and unfair laws divides us? fuck you.
kangana ranaut literally told rihanna to shut up. bitch you had the audacity. you WISH you were at her level.Â
rihanna is a humanitarian, and the news channels are now SLUT SHAMING HER and are talking about how much she paid for her fucking make up to portray that only âshameful women/people support farmersâ while our âpious kangana ranaut is on the right sideâ
the thing is, people in india view the government to be this divine authority and we must accept what it does.Â
and like that is the total opposite of what a democracy is.
people donât know that governments are supposed to be criticized, that a government is supposed to cater to the peopleâs needs, that our prime minister isnât a fucking god and criticizing the government doesnât make you an âanti-nationalâ
the CAA protests (which was against a blatantly islamophobia law) was ignored and covid 19 caused the protests to stop, and nothing happened, nobody talks about it.Â
fuckers like kangana ranaut obviously called them terrorists or anti-national. the islamophobia in india is so rampant that apparently being a muslim makes you less of an indian.
the government expected the farmers protests to blow over, like the caa one. but it didnât. they couldnât stop the protests due to covid this time.
70 farmers died because of protesting. this was because so many of them were old and couldnât handle the climate outside. people are labelling FARMERS as terrorists or anti-nationals.
the parallel between the farmers protests and blm is pretty clear. blm protests in america were peaceful and nobody wanted to listen to them?? and once it became violent, racists labelled blm protests as violent and donât deserve to be listened to?? even if they havenât been listened to since the very beginning??
its pretty much the same here.
the largest workers protests have been going on here and the government is trying to label the farmers as terrorists or too illiterate to understand the farm laws
and the police are building a wall in the capital to stop the protests. even some of the indo pakistani border isnât this thick
greta thunberg extended her support and i am so so grateful for that, she also shared a toolkit to help the protests, (which unfortunately is deleted now)Â
and the indian news channels are trying to convince us that she doesnât care about the farmerâs protests and she apparently wants to âdismantle the indian democracyâ
india isnât even a democracy anymore. the government now wants to obstruct freedom of speech by warning twitter of penal action if it doesnât block the accounts which tweet about the protests.
please, this needs more attention. india is descending into fascism. âdemocracyâ is just a blanket covering the chaos underneath.Â
hereâs a petition to help
also thank you to the people who signed the UK petition to support indian farmers, now that the uk parliament is considering a debate on it.Â

All these bollywood celebs saying wE sHoUlDnT lEt pRoPaGaNdA dIvIdE uS have a special spot in hell. India against propaganda, it seems. There are people dying, and theyâre sitting in their homes that are paid for by bjp. And the supporters are shaming Rihanna for being a victim of abuse and supporting Chris brown because theyâd rather praise the perpetrator of a crime than a person trying to speak up about human rights issues. Iâm just so angry at our fucking government and the people who think all the bullshit modi is pulling is okay
WHAT THE FUCK?? the media, modi and his fucking supporters are all bullshit. i am so angry.
How fucking delusional does one have to be to believe that RIHANNA. RIHANNA was paid to tweet about the protest. That GRETA THUNBERG is part of an âinternational conspiracyâ to divide India. The audacity of right wingers never ceases to amaze me. They reach new lows every. single. day.
What else can you expect from them whose leader, our beloved Prime Minister- follows trolls who give rape threats to women- on Twitter.
India is on a path to ruin. Intolerance is at an all time high. FIRs are filed against tv shows, comedians are arrested for jokes they didnt make, acts of sedition and UAPA are slapped on student activists and journalists to keep them in jail and stop them from speaking the truth.
The mainstream media is rotting everyoneâs brains, vilification of anyone who speaks against the govt reins supreme, and I am terrified. I am terrified of the future, scared of the people around me, and feeling extremely desolate.
Speak up, please. Raise your voice. Support the farmers. Our democracy has been in danger for while now, we need to step up before itâs too late.
Speak up.
non-indians can reblog this. weâd really appreciate it if youâd help spread the word.
I think I found my new favorite comic of all time

explain your gender in 10 words or less without using boring words like âmaleâ, âfemaleâ, ânonbinaryâ, âmasculineâ, âfeminineâ or âandrogynousâ.
go!
sometimes lady sometimes nothing almost never dude
my gender is noâ€ïž
okay but i refuse to believe felix is straight
My...my mom just accused trans people and scientists of starting the Corona virus.
Excuse me what
She said the Corona virus is gods punishment for scientists trying to play god ("scientists playing god" is scientists finding proof of other genders, and helping trans people transition, etc.)
Reblog this if you're either trans, a trans ally, or a scientist bringing Gods wrath by helping people feel comfortable.
did i ever tell u all that when i was 15 i went on a school trip to see romeo and juliet at the globe but my teacher didnât realise until after heâd booked it that it was a ~sexy~ version with bdsm in it
ok people wanted the whole story here are the most Memorable Momentsâąïž
âąthe production made a lot of people very very angry and the reviews were calling it âa desecration of shakespeareâ , other people said it was akin to vandalism
âąa warning letter had to be sent home to parents because it was too late to cancel the booking
âąall the teachers there looked like they wanted to die cause we were 13-15 years old lmaoo
âąthe play opened with really aggressive confetti cannons and in the centre of the stage there was this really muscled guy wearing almost nothing and there were four women in essentially lingerie just.. gyrating over him
âąthis had nothing to do with the plot by the way it was just there
âąweâre only five minutes in and i think the teachers were considering evacuating us
âąromeoâs dad is in an inflatable dinosaur costume for an entire scene.. no context was given
âąiâve blocked the actual sex scene out of my memory
âąi might have imagined this but in the masked ball scene i swear someone was in full bdsm gear i SWEAR
âąmercutio was played by a woman and just started stripping during a monologue which was an Experience
âąlots and lots of twerking from background actors
âąromeo was just dressed like an emo the whole time
for any doubters hereâs an excerpt from an article on it ! by the financial times for some reason
This is 100% what Shakespeare would have wanted
I would have aced biology if the teachers all taught the course like the narrator

hitting that reblog button again because yâall NEED TO SEE THEEEEESE heheheheheh
Major Networks: Kids just canât understand complex themes and subjects. You have to dumb everything down for them...
Avatar: How about the theme no one is truly evil. Everyone can be redeemed. You always have a choice. Friendships last more than one life time... all while having the world almost burn into a fiery flame and our main protagonists having to wonder if they truly believe in all the themes I just mentioned.
Over the Garden Wall: What about having a show where itâs just big metaphor for the after life and itâs kids wondering in the grey area between life and death. Along the way they learn how to truly treat each other as brothers... and make it only slightly scarring.
Gravity Falls: I love what your doing with the sightly scarring bit but what if we adding the theme of all good things must come to an end, You donât know everyoneâs situation, and life is a mystery so go out and solve it. Also letâs add some codes for kids to crack... because theyâre smart.
Steven Universe: Okay but what about the theme love conquers all but also show the hardship war and destructive love has on people and how it can hurt people even thousands of years after the fact, but itâs never too late to try and make it better... also make it have queer representation.
She-ra: See, I like what your doing with that queer representation... but what if we showed that abuse victims donât have to continue the cycle even if it seems like they reached a point of no return, they can become better. Also show that everyone has the power to be good but not everyone will choose to be good, and you can be selfish sometimes... also letâs show an wlw that has no mentions of homophobia... because lesbians with swords.
Networks:.... what?

This is why itâs so important for parents to support their trans kids.

Heidi and her bun for anon âĄ
Not to get deep on main, but Gen Z? They're just kids who were forced to grow up.
Weâve grown up in a world post 9/11 and seeing all of the hatred against groups of people who just want to exist in peace. Weâve grown up being told itâs up to us to fix global warming and pollution problems. Weâve grown up in a time of social media and technology where information spreads fast to millions of people. Weâve grown up seeing black people getting killed when a white person wouldnât in the same situation. Weâve grown up seeing the mess we have to inherit. Seeing the injustice, the prejudice, the hatred, species dying off, glaciers melting, oceans rising, animals with bellies full of plastic. Weâve known that we literally have the planet on our shoulders while older generations keep adding more things for us to fix.Â
^^^This right here is important. Like imma be serious again for a second. This right here is what people don't realize. Older generations have the audacity to call us immature and say we don't know what we're talking about, but we do. We've seen it happen. We've learned about it. Sometimes it seems we're the only ones really trying to do anything about it. And the "it" I'm referring is multiple things such as climate change, racism, homophobia, etc.
"And these kids that you spit on, as they try to change their worlds, are immune to your consultations, they're quite aware of what they're going through." - David Bowie
^In response to this and the people who have reblogged with their own experiences
my parents tell me i havenât seen the âreal world yetâ and that literally terrifies me. like i swear i canât handle it getting any worse than this
