There is a feeling of melancholy in the air as Kiryu begins to head towards the beach, a few different boats in hand he plans on setting adrift into the water before him. It seemed as if death was a constant throughout his life - watching those close to him pass away due to various circumstances. Mistakes, poor choices, or even collateral, no matter what the reason may be he had plenty of people he dearly missed. He’s had plenty of time to mourn them, plenty of time to reflect on what these people meant to him and cherish the memories they made.

As the boats begin to make their way out further and further from dry land Kiryu focuses on three of them in particular. Nishikiyama, Yumi, and Kazama; Kiryu’s family. Lives all taken by the 10 billion yen incident. Years later it still seemed like such a mess. Oh how he wished things could’ve gone so differently. As he continues to reflect on the past Kiryu wonders if he would be considered a part of this. After all back where he’s from he is thought of as a dead man. Wasn’t as if anyone could disprove it now after his relocation to Spirale. The Dragon of Dojima was gone. Kazuma Kiryu was gone. No one in relation to him would ever need to be hurt again.

Woah this dude looks cool. But kind of like a dad in a way? Probably someone you could ask to run an errand and they would help you. Jirou couldn’t help but stare at that man, mostly because he was really bad at this goldfish catching game.

“Have you tried being gentler with your scoop? I’ve never played before, but I’m pretty sure the paper breaks if you pull too fast.” Or the game was rigged, as one would expect from a game made popular in carnivals.

Ah yes, the dreaded goldfish game. So very few have managed to successfully snag one of these bad boys, and even fewer have actually taken care of these things well enough. As far as he could recall Kiryu never really bothered to try this game out. Considering the festival was underway now was a better time than any to try this thing out.

“ Hmm. ” Unfortunately for the man it seems like today wasn’t his time to shine. The girl who had come up beside him may be right. Kiryu was never known for being the most gentle with his actions. Sure there were a couple of occasions where he was, yet those were few and far between. “ Seems like you really have to be that precise with this, huh? ” Another attempt. “ I remember a friend of mine used to be able to do this really well. ”
