For me, it’s an interesting mix between the two! I enjoy spellcasting (please download Ordinator) when playing my third character and my main; Destruction makes me feel like I’m holding the forces of nature, mainly lightning, in my hand and Illusion makes me feel so damn sneaky like a shadow slipping in and out of places...and people’s minds! As for weapons, I mainly enjoy maces, daggers, swords and bows! I love having one hand free to do whatever I please while I attack with the other! I enjoy both in different ways!
As for this one, she enjoys the act of Illusion. Whether it may be charming an enemy whilst I...alleviate their burden, having them solve problems for her, finding her way across difficult terrain, or even remaining unseen when heading in and out of...unexpected territory. In this one’s preference for weapons, this is Khajiit’s mainstay. This one enjoys the feel of something solid in her grip, though the Bound Sword is quite handy for when Khajiit has the misfortune of being...disarmed. This one enjoys certain magics but prefers weapons much more.
10 - Stormcloak or Imperials
Oh, this question. Honestly, I just did the smart thing like any veteran player of Skyrim and avoided the hell out of both sides on my initial play-through. However, after re-doing my main, I kinda see some benefits and cons of both sides; the Stormcloaks want their religious freedom and familiarity of their land free from outside influence at the cost of xenophobia, close-mindedness, and a damn near zealotry to the point of literally killing and dying for their beliefs and shutting out any that have the slightest doubt. The Imperials want stability, control, and steadily gather any and all allies against the real enemy, the Thalmor, at the cost of serving a group of nigh omnicidal extremists. Despite these two practically being mirrors of each other with a few key differences, I would rather back the Imperials than go through that damned peace talk quest again...
This one has...encountered both sides and avoided them. Both are ruled by people who would happily see this one and her kinsmen as pelts on their floor or barred from their cities, the Thalmor and...The Bear, respectively. However, upon visiting the Blue Palace and seeing the young Queen Elisif mourning the loss of her husband that was killed for the sake of a point to be made and a throne to grab...Ugh, I understand the need to worship whatever you please, but to ruin lives for the sake of a crown and flimsy title that will bear little weight to the rest of Tamriel...This one would rather serve the Legion and run the risk combating the Thalmor in the future than serve someone like Ulfric or his Stormcloaks and see her kinsmen cast out for the sake of a god this one does not know.
17 - The Forsworn Conspiracy or Blood on the Ice
Now these two particular quests, I’m not too choosy on. When it comes to the Conspiracy in any play-through I did, I felt so bad for Eltrys, the man who was trying to get to the bottom of this to avenge his dad, and Margaret, the woman I saved and whose death would have been covered up like Weylin, her would-be murderer. As for the Silver-Bloods, this was NOT a good first impression for me, especially upon finding out that they were masterminding the whole damned thing. Hell, I fear Maven more than Thonar(brains behind it) or Thongvor(Jarl for the Stormcloaks); I had few reservations about “accidentally” cutting down Thongvor in the middle of the hidden Forsworn disguised as Silver-Blood servants revealing themselves. As for Madanach and his band, he and his group are happily responsible for murdering anyone that wasn’t Bretony and shedding Nord blood in response to being subjugated while brokering with the same Nord family that put you in imprisoned labor...not exactly a smart move. Not to mention how the Forsworn just swarm into Markarth and cut down everyone, both innocent AND guilty. For people who are rooting for the Forsworn, who are already infamous for making and worshiping Hagravens as well as Daedra, and harming and killing innocents, this does not make a good case for them. And the alternative...siding with the crime family to clean up their loose ends and regain control of the city the only way a crime family can. ....I ended up just killing them both. So, yeah, I’m not quite a fan of the Conspiracy and avoid it whenever I can.This one wished to put all four of their bloody heads on pikes after avenging Eltrys and getting unjustly arrested.
Did this one stutter?Anyways, this one happily killed them both and sold that Silver-Blood’s bloody ring after he had given it to me. Both the Forsworn and the Silver-Bloods can bite this one’s ass! It is bad enough that this one must deal with, and even fucking work under, one disgusting crime family but also deal with another corrupt crime family that is working alongside a bunch of sacrificing, Briarheart-fucking, slaughtering madmen?! No. This one hated the entire affair.
And now for Blood on The Ice. The first time I did this side quest I was honestly really excited! I felt like a real detective, finding the body and asking for leads! One thing that kinda ticked me off was why the guards within the city could devote more time to finding out who the Butcher was and take care of it rather than devote everything to war and leave a civilian to do their job. However, the red herring involving the necklace really threw me for a loop in my first play-through! The fact that the people of Windhelm are so damned suspicious of mages and magic that as soon as they hear “ritual” and “altar”, they immediately center on the court mage and book him for it. The actual culprit was so damned unassuming, just a guy with a bunch of knick-knacks...Until I connected it to the altar and that fucked up journal. Ugh, and that final chase through the streets of Windhelm with the guards at my back! Man, that was honestly one of the most exciting side quests I’ve had during my first play-through!
Calixto Corrium. Calixto fucking Corrium. This one certainly hopes that he is as close to his sister as possible...yet so far away. Khajiit understands loss and wanting to see loved ones just one last time, but...Necromancy is far different. From what this one has encountered, necromancy makes a thrall, a husk of what the person used to be. That damned Imperial would not have gotten his sister back in exchange for all of the lives that he has ended and the families that he had destroyed...including the Shatter-Shields. This one felt so stupid for falsely accusing Wuunferth, that poor court mage...but bought him a good deal of tea and mead after hunting down the REAL monster and butchering him as he did to those poor women.
To sum it all up? Both spells and weapons, Imperials, and Blood On The Ice!This one prefers weapons, Imperials, and butchering all three of those bastards; Corrium, Madanach, and that Silver-Blood bastard all deserved it.
