READER STORY

So today I was leaving medical and started talking to a random Corporal who parked his bike next to mine. Come the end of the conversation, he said to me "Did you hear about the Sergeant that's getting kicked out?"

I wasn't sure of what he was getting at, so I asked him to continue. "Yeah, our Sergeant Major was telling us at a safety brief how he forgot to take off his ball cap when he walked in to the commissary. Sergeant Major (so and so, can't remember what name he said) flipped his shit and went off on him and pushed for him to get a BCD."

Thinking that this sounded VERY familiar and that I was possibly being trolled by a fellow TDB reader, I had to ask him "Was your Sergeant Major's source The Duffelblog?"

"Yeah I think that's what he said he got the news from."

"You DO know that it's fake news. Like, The Onion but for the military. Right?"

"No shit? Are you serious? No, man, our whole unit thought it was real!"

Congrats, fellas. You've successfully trolled an entire Marine Corps unit. That made my day.
