Windows 95 - Notepad
This is labeled 95 but I think it came out for 3.1
got sent this pic from another ship to compare a piece of machinery to the equivalent on our own vessel. i think it is unintentionally very, very beautiful, which is ofc my fave kind of beauty
We need etsy to get bought by someone who will run it like the navy i need to only see small businesses in eastern europe weaving baskets by hand and anime yaoi keychains with original fanart
Literally need someone with an serial killer level obsession with content moderation to sit at a wall of monitors sniping dropshippers. I need etsy HQ to look and sound like the nerv command center in Evangelion
Winamp 5
yeah no offense to confucius or anything but if i was about to embark on a journey of revenge i would simply not dig two graves
jesus christ, getting laid in your enemy's grave? that's some freak shit but honestly i kinda dig it
well yeah you dig it thats how you make a grave
A feel like this is a conversation between Shakespeare's clowns, and I love that.

your thing about men and needing to 'feel' useful vs actually reflecting and thinking about whether what they're doing is actually helpful to others hit so haarrddd. My family is currently taking care of my sister's kid due to reasons and my Dad was all 'I am retiring so I can Help with Baby. And yet we keep having to have the convo of 'I know you think this random home improvement project will be helpful but right now we do not need a new bookshelf/the garden dug up/hallway filled with boces of fake turf you swear you're going to put out on the deck someday soon." Most of the time all we need is for him to do the boring day-to-day stuff that toddlers need. Feed him (without needing to be told exactly what he's supposed to eat) Hang out with him (Without needing us to tell him a specific task or activity, he is 18 months old, all he needs is for someone to sit on the couch and be present in the moment with him as he explores the miracle of which cars can be balanced on top of the others) Do the basic mental work of keeping to his schedule, without my mum having to come notify each mealtime/nap etc. I think to a certain type of traditionally minded guy, it probably feels humiliating to suddenly have to take direction from others, or to realise that not every situation is one that you can individually and permanently fix, but also, like, skill issue. I've been doing that all my life. Also its amazing that some men will chafe and complain about how limiting and sysiphean the whole daily grind of keeping a kid and household going is but never bother investigating why they felt it was okay to ask that of their wives for 3 decades. Hm. Sorry for ranting in your inbox
this is just a really good post! i don't need to add anyting to it its just a perfect example of this precise issue. and its not like men are stupid or somehow incapable of either using basic logic OR looking up instructions for things they dont just immediately enjoy doing (something everyone else on earth does every day). you can even google "ideas for things to do with an 18 month old" now. there are one million books about it. but for SOME REASON........

Shattered Heritage (2014) // A documentary about the destruction of Iraq’s heritage and culture by American forces during the 1991 and 2003 invasions, through the looting of Iraqi art and the indiscriminate bombing of museums, universities, theaters and libraries.
when you download a pdf and it's called like 1328723486basdf12.pdf but then you gently rename it to what it's supposed to be. that's forming a bond with a hurt and wild mythological creature and reminding it who it is.
i close tabs and apps multiple times a day. i don't need that shit on me
what’s wrong with seattl? im moving to caphill to hang out with all the tgirl furrys. like aside from atrocious rents and the police in general etc
well ive spent years posting about this so maybe search my bblog but lol tgirl furries live in Renton now nobody can afford cap hill rent in this year of our lord 2023. White Center maybe. Amazon owns the entire city now and jeff bezos will go to public restaurants safely and without a police escort and people will just leave him alone. he has never been egged or pied or yelled at, not once. enjoy taking a 4 hour, 5-transfer bus route to go anywhere. cant ride your bike in the rain or on the cliffside streets. bus stops running at about 9pm every night. train has abt 3 stations. traffic gridlock is more or less continual and people cannot fuckin drive. rent starts at $2100/mo for a bedsit duplex made of particle board and PFAS they knocked down a hardwood-and-copper 1920s 6 bedroom house to build. the 1920s house had 10 gay artists living in it who didnt own cars and kept the local small businesses open by themselves. one restaurant in the city is open 24 hours and you really should not eat there. there are more missing step rapists here than anywhere else i have ever lived or visited because of a pervasive and heavily-enforced culture of both nonconfrontational interaction and never, ever putting in any effort into anything. people show up to the Seattle Opera, which is one of the best opera companies in the world, in birkenstocks and an REI fleece. we have two seasons now, "winter", and "wildfire smoke". absolutely everyone here is unshakably convinced there is a crime epidemic being caused by "homeless people" and "drug addicts". god help you if you actually ever do need emergency services or to file a police report
(inhale)
for your insurance and HAVE to call 911 because if you have a car your catalytic converter (or bike if you have one) WILL be stolen on a brightly lit main street as passerby hurry past to avoid annoying the organized theft ring guys (who are not homeless btw) because they often just will not show up, theyve been on a slowdown since the CHAZ protests (which involved at least 2 separate """""leftist""""" cults amongst the people trying to control the action on the ground [plus an Agile manager who was the one that insisted we change the name to "CHOP", straight out of OSS Simple Sabotage Manual]) to, i guess, teach us all a lesson about "defunding the police" even though police funding has increased substantially in the interim, however its working and everyone in the city genuinely believes this is a natural consequence of "police defunding". they havent been testing rape kits since at least 2015 and recently just stopped investigated all sex crimes (see earlier thing about rapists per capita). bands routinely skip seattle on tour because theres no point visiting a city where people will not dance at a show and find it difficult to even show up because you cant bike or take a bus anywhere and what small venue has parking for something like that? some friends of mine (trans) who moved here recently both had to basically emergency-machete their way out of different, separate queer communal houses that had levels of dysfunction that are difficult to describe. one of these houses had A Piss Wall. this is much more typical of the housing options available here than not, basically god help you if you need roommates because your chances of finding people to live with who will wash a saucepan they welded an impenetrable layer of chef boyardee onto 6 months ago without a court order, while not impossible, are vanishingly small. it's racist here. it's unbelievably racist, in ways that are so hard to pinpoint because all the racism is buried under 10 layers of white liberal virtue signaling and cOeXiSt yard signs which is designed specifically to make calling out racism so rude that it is considered an unforgivable social faux pas (actual racism is fine because we just dont acknowledge it so its not rude because it didnt happen). the one gay mental health and hormone clinic in seattle just closed and apparently dropped every one of their patient records into a sewer on the way out. Planned Parenthood can still prescribe HRT and Medicaid signup is insanely quick and easy here and you can still get an abortion. those are three things i can unironically say are good about western wa state. and it's not farfetched to imagine a near future where that alone will tip the pro/con list in favor of seattle. shall i go on
just saw a post written by a very kind and tolerant person politely explaining in detail why it is rude to listen to music/watch stuff on your phone in public without earbuds. I'm glad people patient enough to do that exist, since the only explanation I could possibly offer is "because you aren't the protagonist of this grocery store"
