oh boy i start my job as a wound man tomorrow can't wait to be stabbed, sliced, slashed, lacerated, eviscerated, bludgeoned, cudgeled, beaten with rods, beaten with irons, shot with arrows, shot with cannons, have spears thrown into me, have spears thrown through me, impaled on spikes, flayed, flensed, boiled, shot with arrows again, and have rocks dropped on my head
*The intercom system screeches to life:
Hiii, so apparently I wasn’t very good at giving instructions. Due to that I’d like all those who aren’t in their spots to come back to the foyer (the room you all entered in).
That is most of you by the way, only Gram and Wylie is in their spots though Zap found zeir spot.
Instructions will be given over the intercom when everyone is in their spots. Alrighty?
Oh and Tenna, can you head to the kitchen and grab your station mate? She’s a bit… exhausted. I can guide you if needed.
*It lifts its head up and towards the intercom.
*Gale then lies back down and continues its nap, its heard this all before.
wails desperately and then goes back to doing fucjing whatever
Gale you should do weed
Whuh?
Dearie, I’m sorta in the middle of something. Are trying to comment on my anxiety because you’re just being rude.
My legal name? Just why?
Do I know you?
Sorry, I’m a bit bad with names. Always forget those I’ve met before haha.
Gale you should do weed
Whuh?
Dearie, I’m sorta in the middle of something. Are trying to comment on my anxiety because you’re just being rude.
*A bowl of peas is placed in front of Wylie.
*Note is placed on the bowl, thanking it for being cooperative.
*Behind a door in the Green Room that leads to a hallway, a new door forms at the end. A towering door made of stained wood with a brass doorknob.
*Will you enter?
[Dakota sees the door as it walks past, a box of documents in its arms. It smiles, rushes to put the box away, then returns and goes through the door.]
*The foyer opens up before it, two large staircases mirror each other as they lead up to a door, paintings flanking it. Nestled between the staircases is another door.
*A certain Rabbick sneaks behind Dakota.
Wow.. I would have killed for a place like this.
[Dakota spends a good long moment admiring the foyer. It senses movement behind it and turns around.]
Haha thank you for opening the door for me, Dearie.
Whoever made it did not design it for Rabbicks in mind. *murmured beneath its breath; Hopefully it won’t be too hard to find my station…
Oh- Hello, Wylie! It’s no trouble, dear.
[Dakota feels a little bad for the fact that it didn’t even realize Wylie was there.]
..This is the first time we’ve met face-to-face, isn’t it?
Hope I don’t get too under foot today…
*It freezes up for a moment.
That it is, that it is. Prolly a bit underwhelming, ain’t I? Though that is the way I prefer to be.
Oh, you’re not underwhelming, dear. If anything, you’re exactly how I pictured you.
Where is your station, if you don’t mind my asking?
Aw, you’ll make me blush.
Ah it’s out in the back, at the greenhouse. Quite a few doors to go through.
I could page the host but we aren’t on the best terms unfortunately.
I could help you if you like, dear.
*It stops for a moment as if in shock.
That would be nice. It’s quite a ways but it’s through the lower door.
Let’s get going then. Lead the way, dear.
*And it does.
*It takes a right at the vestibule, then goes straight through the dining hall into the breakfast nook, then a left into the backyard. *It stops for a moment as the path is before it, it seems nervous.
[Dakota looks around.]
My mother would love it here, she always wanted a backyard like this, but she moved out before we could get the trees behind the house cleared out.
*The path is simple packed dirt with various shubbery dotting the path.
Sounds like a woman who had an idea of what she wanted. Unfortunate that some plans fall through.
[Dakota nods.]
She was wonderful, really. Moving was her idea, and I did get to keep the house for a little while.
I just wish I could have done all the things she wanted to do with it before I went and stopped existing for twenty years.
*It hums in response.
I doubt someone like you woulda done that if you had known what would happen.
Shall we continue? I got one more door I’ll need help with.
..Right.
[Dakota shakes off its reminiscence and continues along the path.]
*They reach the greenhouse, the path widens at the mouth to it.
*There’s a kennel beside it, with a post with a leash attached to it. Wylie bristles at it before stopping near the door. *It turns towards Dakota.
[Dakota has its hand on the greenhouse’s door, but it’s looking at the kennel, head canted to the side.]
Is there a dog in there?
There’s probably something in there. Not sure I want to disturb it.
[Dakota hums in response and opens the greenhouse door.]
There you go, dear.
Thank ya kindly!
[It smiles.]
You’re welcome. Who are you stationed with, by the way?
Some fella by the name of Marx, if I recall correctly.
Ah. I’m not familiar with them. Let’s hope they’re easy to get along with. I’m with Zap in the library. The last time I spoke with it was when..
[Dakota goes quiet for a moment.]
..Anyway! If you need anything else, feel free to ask. I’ll see you after the event, dear.
Well let’s hope the event acts as a good bonding moment!
So course Dearie! Do you know where the library is?
