Cards&Crystals [Dustiny-has-arrived]
Knocking in the little caravan before her, Eva was carefully rocking from her heels to her toes as she awaited an answer from the person within.
“They say you can tell someones whole life from the cards you pull, or just looking into that pretty little ball you have stashed up on some secret shelf. So, I pray do tell me what you see?” Eva couldn’t help the spark of curiosity that would come with someone possibly seeing into her past and present, and just how far back could they go with her anyways? She had a little more time of her than what her appearance gave off, but it wouldn’t hurt to toy just a little.
“Good afternoon, Eva.” With a moderately smug smile, Dust unlatched the bottom portion of the door, allowing the woman outside to enter in full. “’They’ - either an is or an are - would be right, cher. Make yourself comfortable at the table there. I just need my hat and we’ll be set.”
Having rejoined her at the table, he gathered the appropriate deck, flourishing the set to the customer so that she might come to know that both he and the cards were the real deal — If knowing her name wasn’t enough in the way of proof.
“I see a ‘57 Studebaker…an old car anyway, star,” he muttered irritably. He was never any good with automobiles. He muttered again, pinching his eyes shut, and placing his hands above the all-seeing dome. “A drug. It’s phencyclidine hydrochloride. That’s all in your past. Now, you’re living in a rental - I can’t be sure whether a flat or a house…“ He reached for her hand, gesturing for her to take his. “You have a long life ahead of you, Eva. But I’ll have to see some sums before I say more, cher. This is a legitimate business, by and by.”
your muse is so cute! I love the little habit they have of calling people "Star"!
//Thank you kindly, Anon! I am well pleased. And how wonderful to hear he’s cute!

"Oh, these?" Eternitarion tapped a claw against one of the gemstones that were embedded in his face. "I’ve had these since the dawn of time."
“Time--The Dawn. I’m not familiar with it.” The Gypsy giggled demurely. “I hope you haven’t come to try and out ‘do’ me with that fiery hair of yours, Star! It is sin-sational!”
+eternitarion
“--How is it? That thing with your eyes, star. . .”
The Gypsy was genuinely perplexed; additionally, scared.
“Well met Dustin, well met indeed.” She chuckled warmly as she rubbed one chickens head tenderly. “And i love the smells around here too, i do my best to keep it clean for my dears, they don’t deserve a dirty home.” she shook her head and led him into the cabin.
It was a simple place with a single room, the kitchen and eating area sharing a space, while a small living room area was across from that. Her own sleeping space was on a a second floor of sorts, with a plain ladder leading up to the area, keeping it hidden from view. “It’s not much, but it’s home.” Dolce hung up her coat and went to the fireplace, starting to build up a warm blaze from some coals.
“Molto confortevole! It’s a veritable mansion compared to my caravan. . .That’s how we got lost, star--A wheel off and tumbled into a ravine.” Dustin swallowed harshly, thinking of the probable thieves that could be ransacking his place as they speak. “You wouldn’t know a repairman or woman who’s good with fixin’ ancient mobile homes, would you, star?”
Dustin placed one of his more well-worn hat’s (and a colourful scarf) on the coat rack, and joined Dolce at the fire.
“That’s right, it’s a bit of a theme in the family to name children after foods and flavors.” She confessed, a warm gleam in her eyes as she led the way forward. She hummed softly under her breath, hair swaying lightly. “I run a little restaurant in town, so your in good hands for dinner tonight.” Once they reached the cabin and the humble barn she led him inside to an empty stall, Crumpets company for the night was two goats and six chickens. The barn was warm on the inside and clean, and Dolce gathered up the hens eggs while he put up his horse.
“How interesting. . .I suppose I must’ve forgotten to introduce myself--How silly of me! My name’s Dustin.“ He liked names, always took an interest in them, ever since birth - ever since the age he could find something deniable about his lineage. “You’re too kind, star, too kind.”
“Eight--” uttered the man with love for all things alignment. He’d counted the woman’s animals, summing them up to a bright ambiguous smile. “A very profitable numeral, you know.” Crumpet snorted a ‘hello’ to the other animals inside the barn, before clopping into his cozy stall, swishing his mane and tail happily.“I am just besotted with the smells around here,” said Dustin. Parting from Crumpet with a good night pat, he followed after Dolce.

❝ … crap! ❞
he hasn’t counted his attempts at igniting the lighter in his hand, but he’s pretty damn sure it’s at least up to fifty by the time he gives up.
about to pluck the still unlit lucky strike from his lips, he glances up to catch the sight of another person about to walk past him.
❝ hey, uh- you don’t happen to have a lighter on you by any chance, do you ? ❞
*:・゚✧ He’s in the city; one of the first/only times he’s been there for anything other than attending his own concert. It’s odd walking on foot - no paid driver, no horse, no caravan.
His hair has caught someone’s attention...Or maybe it was just that he was there, same place, same time as the other.
❝ I do, good sir, have a lighter on me. I don’t smoke-- I’m terrified of living without heat ❞
“Well…it is getting rather late.” Dolce pondered. “You can put up Crumpet in my barn for the night and stay with me for the evening. It’s just a cot mind you, but it’ll be far better then sleeping out here in the wild.” She turned and headed towards a small but cozy looking cabin not too far off in the distance. “My names Dolce, and it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“Oh, I mind not. Travellers do not picky bed layers make. I’m not much of a sleeper anyways.“ A gentle pat, the man coaxed the horse into a comfortable trot towards the cabin the woman had pointed out, visible beyond the tree line. “It’s a pleasure to meet you; you‘re sweet--but I guess that’s why they named you Dolce,” the gypsy giggled softly behind one hand for propriety.

"Excuse me, star—" that’s what he called most everybody, affectionately — "do you think you can you help me?" The gypsy in his tipsy caravan, lost a wheel, and had now been wondering on foot for about a mile down a lesser beaten stretch of dusty road, with only a nonverbal horse for company and protection. "I'm afraid the wolves might get to me an' little old Crumpet here," a fond tug at the reigns of the animal, "if I don't quickly shy away from all this," the man motioned at the semi-wild surroundings. "I'm lost, and thirsty for a drink of tea."
