Hello!!! Here's a (semi) update for my commissions!

I'm really loving this comic style I've been trying to work with and am offering some new commissions for it! If you're looking for something a little different that what I'm offering, just ask and we can work something out!

Portrait - $30 ↳ Shoulder up of the character, set in a panel Panels - $65 ↳ Portrait or half-body of 1-2 characters with a small scene over 1-3 panels. (Not a full comic page, just a series of panels)

I do think it's sort of funny that the fixation on Batman as an abusive figure has led to all these Golden Age comic panels of Batman regretfully and even tearfully doing or saying something hurtful to Robin in the course of trying to protect him in some elaborate way being spread around and discussed - meanwhile no one has ANY idea about what's going on slightly to the left in Superman comics of the era, wherein Superman is straight up gaslighting Jimmy mostly seemingly for funsies or to "teach him a lesson" on the regular.

In the very first Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane issue, Silver Age Superman faked his suicide... to teach Lois a lesson.

About the same year, in Action Comics [issue #241] , Bruce — yes, Batman — pretended to stalk him as a gift so Clark returned the favor by pretending they were going to be killed in the Fortress of Solitude from a fake earthquake creating a fake rockslide to entomb them, with fake Kryptonite to round it off.

In the first Superman (1939) annual, Clark gave Jimmy amnesia in a convoluted but successful attempt — in a time-travel plot — to protect his secret identity.

Haven't read enough Golden Age Supes to comment on his treatment of his Jimmy, but his Earth-1 counterpart never changed!

Reblogging this again because I forgot to say that Earth-1 Clark got his job at the Daily Planet by pretending he was going to starve to death if he didn't, and that Adventures of Superman (radio) Clark crashed his car and pretended to be grievously injured to try and make someone believe he wasn't Superman. Like Clark has never not been a crazy person.
