An open bathroom door

An open bathroom door.

A yoga instructor, in his 40s, struggles to remove his yoga pants after a session; it seems that a strange force acts upon the pants and makes it impossible to take off. He desperately needs to pee, and eventually does so on himself. He faces the mirror and sees that he is a person with both arms missing. He recalls the words “phantom limbs” coming out of his doctor’s mouth.

He walks out of the bathroom looking miserable and drenched in sweat and piss–you would see a wall full of medals and accolades, and a worn out military uniform hung up by the closet. He was in fact in the Persian Gulf back then. We see a picture of him, younger–with arms, with his friends in the service in which we will presume to be long dead. He looks at the objects in his room, we see his face turn in to a determined look, as patriotic music fades in, he then salutes with his foot.
