Blocks and blocks and anti-blocks
Another 12gon submitted to loopdeloop for their "block" theme.
Me and Christian Villacañas made this loop for loopdeloop! It’s about a bunch of tough guys.
(Relinking so video works, yay)
Rainbow guardians
Watch this! I made the song for it, a combination of chiptune and cheesy 80's metal insipired by Anamanaguchi.
Make 3D photos
http://dxinteractive.com/#!/3d-photos
I've just finished a little web app that takes an existing photo and a depth map, and gives back anaglyph 3D images (for red/cyan 3D glasses), wigglegrams or crossview images, with a bunch of options to help get the 3D working just right.
Warning: without drawing yourself a depth map you won't get far. It's not a jump-right-in-and-play kind of toy, but for those who are patient enough to make a depth map I hope this is a useful tool. It certainly helped me turn some pictures 3D where Photoshop fell short!
Some of my pixel gifs made a special cameo appearance in this clip for the Melbourne International Animation Festival directed by Nathanael Scott. Also featured in the video is the hypnotic works of internet superstar Neil Sanders and all round cool guy Damien Clarke.
MIAF / 12gon
A couple of my 12gons have appeared in this clip for the Melbourne International Film Festival that Nathanael Scott created. Take a look see.
Third completed song from the upcoming EP, will likely be the first and the title track once the EP is assembled. Slow, heavy, measured beat.
Lost in the Saccades
New song complete. Planning some extras for this one.
Ever wanted to pixelate an image but use shapes other than squares? This thing will do it.

Shapes
Just updated this to have vector exporting, outlines, more patterns, non-uniform scaling, extra shape tweaks, better zoom / pan controls and ability to handle higher resolution photos.
Wrote some about my 3D renderer thing.
Haha
Some bugs are just great. This is from a while ago.
Dodecahedrons #3
Now that the 12gon launch and website / blog redesign are out of the way, I'm back to this. Now has death triggers, death animations, life / death cycle, collisions / force fields, air particles (don't look so great in the GIF), colour scheme management, a structure to allow level generation from a series of 'zones', a couple of simple zones in place, the loading and unloading of said zones and the beginnings of a difficulty ramp.
Next - make lots of fun different zones containing weird stuff to avoid and collect and interact with.
Rebrand
I've relaunched my portfolio website and my Tumblr with a completely redone theme. Much better.
Scribble
Just some scribbles from a long time ago. I still kind of like them.
Here’s another
I promise I didn’t copy this from the Stack Overflow logo.
Geometry
I’m starting a new tumblr called 12gon. I’ll post lots of GIFs I make like this one. I might reblog the first few here, but very little after that. These feeds are splitting ways, so follow if you’re into it. It’s going to be fun.
Light bug
Made for loopdeloop, January 2014. This was made in a semi-3D engine I created in Flash called ‘DX3’, it lets you make simple things in 3D but you can manipulate any of the parts as 2D at any point in the render pipeline and can use all the normal 2D effects you might find in Flash / AS3. I’ll write a little more about it later, allows some really cool 2D / 3D crossover stuff.
Making a hologram
Have to get rid of those pesky lines and this guy will be fun. No editing tricks or Photoshop, this is just how the photo came out of the camera.
Dodecahedrons #2
December probably isn’t the month to try and make a game as fast as possible. Things are still happening though. Since last post I’ve added a track, a track generator, a thing to turn the track into 3D objects in a track, and a track bending thingy. The track is actually completely straight, it just looks bendy because of a weird space warp thingamabob I wrote to bend the 3D points that the world is comprised of based on how far away things are. I want it to be smoother, but the maths is too hard right now. The idea behind the game keeps changing, so I’d expect the dodecahedrons may be replaced with something else, maybe maybe.
