Caspian grabbed the chips and he begins to munch of them again. Yum. Doritos. The werewolf offered her a chip. “ Come on, it is just Doritos.” The werewolf said with a little hum. The Telmariene took another bite.
“Alright, suit yourself, Highness,” she concedes. “They have juice over in the other table, in case someone brought kids.” A smile was plastered in her face, teasing him.
“Thank you but I’m trying to lower my salt consumption - and I’ve had a can of Pringles in one sitting the other day - bad for the kidneys. I don’t know how Telmarine anatomy works but if it’s anything similar to ours, you better take it easy on that too.” Marianne puts her plate of salad between them just in case the prince opted for healthier choices.

Brigid (meaning ‘The Exalted One’) was the flamed haired goddess of spring, fertility and life in Celtic mythology. Beloved by poets, she was also the master of both healing and smithing. Brigid was born with the sunrise and elevated into the sky with rays of light radiating from her head. She was nourished as a baby on the milk of a sacred cow and it was said that wherever she walked, flowers and shamrocks would spring up in her footsteps. Her holiday, Imbolc (Saint Brigid’s Day), was held on February 1st which marks the midway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Like The Morrígan, some believed Brigid was once a triple deity.

Marianne’s smile faltered at Shireen’s next words, hearing a tinge of sadness in them. The girl has been in isolation longer than anyone should, perhaps out of fear bred by ignorance. “I am at your service, Lady Shireen, truly. If I am not commissioned by some lord or lady to make them a portrait, you can always call on me. I can even do some pieces here, if you so wish. We can make art together. Who wouldn’t pay for something made by the princess herself?”
“That is a gracious offer but really, I would hate to be any more of an inconvenience to you than I already have,” Marianne began but quickly thought, perhaps the child only wanted company. “I rarely sleep myself, if you must know but some company would be welcome.”

And yes, he was the worst person to be sent, but sometimes the situation called for that. Beast Boy would try his best to show his worth… Even if so far it didn’t look very impressive.
“Fomori,” Marianne supplied helpfully, lips stretching in a tight, thin smile. Oh, if only they were some exotic food. “They mostly do the eating, not the other way around. Not something you’d like to see, honestly.” Years ago, that made her stomach turn and her throw up. Now, not so much with the throwing up but it still unsettled her. “And you’re the emissary. Beast Boy, is it?”

I must admit, I’m not knowledgeable with the lore of South Asia but as for the Irish pantheon, Danu is indeed associate with not only water, but the other three elements - fire, earth, and air - as well. After all, she’s the mother goddess.”
