Want to know how corrupt the pharmaceutical industry is?
See this?
This is called Afrezza. It’s an inhaler for diabetic insulin. That’s right. An inhaler. That means no more needles. It’s only for fast acting insulin, but it could still vastly improve the life of a lot of diabetics.
Imagine having to constantly prick yourself with needles to keep yourself alive, and then suddenly there’s a new product that could change the whole way you live your life for the better.
And here’s the thing: it works. It works really really well. People with diabetes that have been lucky enough to have used it think it’s amazing.
But sadly, it’s probably going to end up as a failure because the pharmaceutical company (a French company called Sanofi) that was in charge of marketing it didn’t care enough to actually try. Not only that, but they made it incredibly expensive so hardly anyone could afford it. Most people have never heard of it, and the way things are going, no one else ever will.
Please reblog this to raise awareness of this product and hopefully get another company to market it. It could change so many lives.
It would change and save my life. If there’s one thing I hate in the top 5 most in this world. It’s the fucking pharmaceutical, money mongering, heartless industry.
Note to my ex.
Today my professor told me every cell in our entire body is destroyed and replaced every seven years. How comforting it is to know that one day I will have a body that you will have never touched.
This just made me feel so warm.
thank you.
Important especially for victims of abuse, remember your body is yours and it heals in more ways than you realize.
Okay, so I just want to say that this isn’t necessarily true. Most of your cells have died and regrown several times in seven years, but some haven’t, and some have died and won’t return. The seven year cell renewal is a myth perpetuated by popsci in magazines everywhere.
That being said, anywhere they may have touched you, your skin, your hair, your nails and so on, was changing the moment they departed your life, even before that. Your skin became skin they’ve never touched within 27 days. Your hair grows (on average) six inches per year, so depending on how long yours is, you were rid of their touch there within a few years tops. Your nails will completely regrow within six months tops. You were a body they never touched within three or four years. You will be a body they never touched within three or four years.
You have been rewriting your body, you are your own, you are constantly changing, and you are the only one who owns your body 100% of the time.
I needed this today.

Original song!
Please check out my song. I'm quite proud of it even if the video turned out super awkward. Maybe soon I'll have time to make a proper video clip for this but until then please let me know what you think!

When I’m struggling with something, it doesn’t help when someone tells me “it’s not the end of the world.” It sounds rather ignorant and invalidating. Some people brush off those who have a hard time unless they have a terminal illness, while seemingly forgetting depression kills people too. When you empty a cup of water into a bucket it won’t fill up, but if it keeps pouring like the glass just won’t empty, the bucket will run over. Those so called little things that seem so insignificant to others are a problem for me. Where others see a small bump in the road for me, I see an insurmountable mountain with the person I’m reaching out to standing on top, not even trying to throw me a rope.
