Ariana Grande confirms New Song 'Ridiculous' and calls Miley Cyrus 'A Genius'
Last month, theĀ Almost Is Never EnoughĀ singer claimed she had startedĀ working on the follow-upĀ to her hugely successful debut LPĀ Yours Truly, which reached No.7 in the UK charts earlier this year.
When quizzed about her forthcoming record, Grande told us: "I start recording the second album in a couple days when I get back to Los Angeles and Iām really excited about it. I donāt know too much yet, we just started working on it.
"I just have one song that Iām very excited about so far thatās kind of done. Iām really excited about it because so much has happened in the last few monthsā¦ Itās been crazy and I feel like Iāve learnt a lot and grown a lot as a person so I have a lot to write about."
When pressed further on the track that she's already finished, Ariana admitted: "It's calledĀ Ridiculous, Iāve never said that before. Itās a great song ā I love it. Iām not sure if Iāll be able to keep it or not because thereās a little string sample in it, but I want to take all the music out and do something different anyway. So Iām going to change that."
The 20-year old beauty went on to describe the song as "really crazy" and "a bit all over the place", before concluding: "Itās interesting melodicallyā¦ Itās more like gymnastics. It's like a weird melody and jumpy."
And, following the news that woman of the momentĀ Miley CyrusĀ wrote aĀ song for Grande in the shower,Ā Nathan Sykes' lady added that she's "so excited" to hear what Mi-Cy has to offer, stating: "I love her. I think sheās a genius."
