I need to rant a little

I know people always say don't have regrets. 

I can't help but feel bad for my own situation? Is that a little selfish and childish? Well yes, but bad shit happens in everyones lives ya know? 

Ive completely cut ties with one half of my family I'm afraid will never be repaired but on the other hand is it better for my future? Probably. Can one feel a sense of loss without feeling a sense of regret/remorse? 

Sorry this is dark, again bad shit just happens to people. And the past 10 months have been bad.
