Alright I’m also feeling the Transformers rush, so of course I thought and what happens when I think? I mash together two of my interests.
Transformers & Touhou crossover
In which -specifically- Shockwave somehow reaches the border of Gensokyo’s universe and makes an experimental deal with -specifically- Okina that gets out of hand, the Autobots follow them and shenanigans ensue.
The pass from world to world changes them to acquire “mythological” alt-modes and semi-organic bot modes - which of course.
I like IDW’s idea of Transformers originally lacking sex and gender identities, thus they just assimilate the most commonly referred one (feminine presenting)

Story has two routes of 6 stages (and an Extra), one for the Decepticon side and one for the Autobots side.
The Autobot side would be for a team between Reimu and Jazz, and the Decepticon side for a team between Marisa and Starscream.
The Autobot route would be an special recon mission turned direct operation following Jazz and Reimu beating up decepticons and stopping Megatron from opening a direct bridge to Cybertron (which Okina admitted but would eventually stop anyways) with:
- Bombshell as the Stage 1 boss, aided by Shrapnel and Kickback, who’s trying her upgraded power to mentally control animals.
- Skywarp and Thundercracker as Stage 2 bosses, recognized and interrogated by Jazz.
- Devastator as the Stage 3 boss, as well as the other Constructicons during the Stage.
- Soundwave as the Stage 4 boss, who had been tracking the protagonists through Laserbeak during the previous stages. Is aided by Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage and Laserbeak.
- Starscream as the Stage 5 boss, of course, who admits to already planning her next move and also explains Megatron’s plan with the secret intent of it getting foiled.
- Megatron as the Stage 6 boss, also of course, since… you know… the big bad.
The Decepticon route would be a full on power trip from Starscream and Marisa, the first experimenting with her new magical power in an attempt to rail up the other Decepticons and the people of Gensokyo to overthrow Megatron, and Marisa wanting to experiment with Transformer technology and manufacturing her own versions. The boss lineup following:
- Hound as Stage 1 boss, who’d get challenged by the duo as he explored the region.
- Sideswipe and Sunstreaker as Stage 2 bosses, to mirror the other route’s duo boss fight.
- Wheeljack and the Dinobot pack as Stage 3 bosses, this one initiated by a very excited Marisa, since the dinobot’s use self fueled fire too, and accepted by a very excited Wheeljack too, more than happy to show off the Dinobots and see full-blown magic in use.
- Bumblebee and Cliffjumper as Stage 4 bosses, also a duo boss fight, and honestly, I’d kind of like it as Marisa and Starscream getting in between a discussion of the two mini cars.
- Jazz as the Stage 5 boss, showing off that second in command title, and you know what? Sure, in contrast to Starscream who fights her protagonists alone, Jazz accepts the aid of the other Autobots (Bluestreak, Prowl, Brawn, Ironhide and Mirage, all of them also showing throughout the route as mini bosses)
- Optimus as the Stage 6 boss, since Starscream already came this far, her ego blown far beyond her frame, she decides to challenge Optimus to a battle too, Marisa would be thrilled of seeing what the leader of these guys can do in battle so she’s also excited to battle. Optimus accepts, for one to interrogate Starscream once the battle’s over, and also because she doesn’t seem to be one to refuse a formal warrior challenge.
At the endings, Reimu and Jazz successfully stop Megatron’s plan, once Yukari and Optimus show up, they get complimented and Yukari declares a technological ceasefire within Gensokyo’s borders (to the dismay of the Moriya shrine that had just gotten wind of the situation), but not really kicking them out of Gensokyo for now.
While on the other hand, Starscream and Marisa don’t get to finish their battle as Optimus is called to deal with something more important (coff coff Yukari decides to stop Megatron herself, which would be quick), yet, Marisa is absolutely satisfied with what she has learned, not ending up with her hands empty, Starscream HAS left an impression on some of Gensokyo’s magical beings, namely the small fry who like flashy powers, but it is enough to keep her ego somewhat high.
For the Extra stages, they would follow either the rumors of Moriya manufacturing cybertronian technology after a deal with the Decepticon Shockwave or rumors of a much greater flying stranger watching over the skies of Gensokyo, this greater flyer, and the only bot who didn’t get organic-fied (something like taller-than-a-human mech), Skyfire.
Both Extra stages would be available for both teams, too.
Thats it, you’ll get more regular Transformer-only Aus once Lazy’s back in front probably, we’ve been thinking of some other stuff too.
Had a dream where Skyfire just got tired of Earth and went into space to do little sidequests to pass the years.
At the end he’d find and would engage in battle with an exiled Slipstream. They bicker a lot about the importance of other life forms while shooting at each other in flyer mode.
I like the idea my subconscious is cooking, I’m adding that to my AU lore.
In one part it’s difficult to think about Transformers as -already- humans
One the other hand I like the idea that they have to confront human nature, on almost-human bodies, with a cybertronian mind
Human-bodied Wheeljack, who’s body lacks a mouth so he doesn’t get out of the Ark much: What’s a “gender”?
Human-bodied Jazz, who just came from a drive around town and a visit to the local human nightclub and has adopted every available gender identity: [} )
Transformers AU in which Drag-Strip accidentally causes the dead of Dead-End, which gets blamed in turn on Wildrider.
Wildrider scapes execution but is targeted as a traitor and the Stunticons are left without two members, a very guilty Drag-Strip, a Breakdown that’s straying off from the team, a grieving Motormaster and a very knowing Menasor who’s refusing to be combined with the new members assigned to the Stunticons
When working on Ellise I happened to be on a Touch-Tone Telephone loop, thus since a lot of her personality is based on “knowing you are so much yet stuck in a place so limiting” I started to relate this song to her kinda, and ended up becoming one of the songs I Inspired Ellise on.
And the other day I made a traditional drawing as a joke during class about this exact scenario, having Ellise be on the album cover of Touch-Tone Telephone.
And I ended liking the idea enough to make it into a full drawing, with a few tweaks of course.

A lot of “critiques” of Fionna & Cake I’m seeing really just seem to root from not understanding Fionna and Cake are NOT canon genderbends of Finn and Jake, and their own characters who are *heavily* based from Seasons 1 to 3 Finn and Jake.
No shit they’re not following AT chronology, they’ve been doing their own unsupervised shit since then.
Plus, they also seem to not understand that Fionna and Cake’s universes fundamentally started as “Prismo writes, in-universe, Adventure Time, with opposite gender versions of the original cast” and becomes “Prismo’s fanfictioned magic world adequates to function without magic because the computer he wrote it on lost every speck of magic on his being”
