This isn't really a blog to talk about Viv as a person outside of the show, though I will say I do not support her or consider myself a fan. I'm here to talk about the media exclusively.

I had an epiphany, helluva boss makes a lot more sense if you imagine it as Stolas’s fanfic. Like 90% of it is just him being an unreliable narrator going “Oh no I had every right to cheat on my wife because she’s a BITCH who would abuse lil ol me and she’s ALWAYS been this way even when we were kids!!!” (“ No I didn’t actually try in this relationship why would I? I’m a sad gay twink I can do whatever I want!”) like imagine
“Oh and blitzy yelled at me even though I’ve never looked down on him except for all the times I did I can’t believe he would ever think so LOW OF ME 😭😭😭”
“Hmm I don’t know what to do with the girl imp hmm, I know I’ll write in a pregnancy that she would never want!! Oh I’m so clever and original :>”
“How do I demean my ex wife even more hmm…I’ll imply an incestous relationship between her and her brother oh, genius!! Surely no one will sympathize with her after that!!”
And meanwhile in the real world Blitz and the rest of IMP are happily carrying on their kill for pay business without needing to rely on Stolas, Octavia is happily living with her mom and uncle and Stolas is living on the streets living off of lucky charms and crying himself to sleep as he reads comments pointing out how much of an abuser he is.
This is my new headcanon it’s the only way I can tolerate this series
All of my recent Hellaverse redesigns- figured I’d just post them all together and put my notes here!! (Just so everyone is aware I am very much critical of Helluvaboss and Hazbin Hotel as a whole- if you cannot accept that then please dni)
Stolas:
• Based his design on the actual demon from the Ars Goetia and the Great Horned Owl with a little bit of Nerd meets Goblin King Bowie
• Wanted him to have a very night themed palette to contrast my Stella redesign
Loona:
• Made her scruffier, gave her a matching pendant to her dad’s
• Tried to make her look more wolflike
Blitzo:
• Got rid of the clown motif— he’s trying to move past it and show he’s more than a failed circus performer
• Gave him an eye patch because I think he would have been more than scarred in that explosion
• Gave him plenty of belts and holsters to put weapons on for jobs
• Edgy Guy Fieri vibes because yes-
Velvette:
• Gave her a more cohesive color palette and skin tone that isn’t ashy
• Clothing inspired by 1980 and 90’s fashion
• More business leaning look because she takes her fashion work seriously
Stella:
• Made her a Secretary bird since no one seems to know what the fuck she is
• Gave her a sunny palette to contrast Stolas
• Gave her the pantsuit/dress look to make her both princess like and a bad bitch (also because I was really proud of her legs)
Charlie:
• Gave her goatlike features and a snake tail
• Made her ginger as most literature describes Lucifer as a red head
• Gave her soft purples to show she is royalty as Purple is the color for Pride

My enthusiasm for drawing these comes and goes so the timing for them is relatively inconsistent. I don’t know if or when I’ll make more. The show isn’t for me but inspiration can come form anywhere. Hazbin stans ( not fans but stans, trust me there’s a difference. fans are cool.) had made me weary of even attempting redesigns for years. You know the ones, i don’t even need to explain. but I ultimately came to the conclusion that :
1.)I am not being malicious , I’m just having fun.
2.) nothing I say/do/draw is going to change the show.
3.) its wrong to treat a cartoon Better than actual people. Even if they have differing tastes.
I explain my logic more in my vids but I’ll give a quick rundown of my thought process. These were just some ideas that came to mind when discussing the characters themes and descriptions vs their execution. So j tried my hand to see how I’d do it. I gave everyone a particular sin they exuded the most, and used the classic sin colors to dominate said character’s color pallet.
Pride is purple .
Wrath is red
Gluttony is orange
Greed is yellow like gold
Lust is blue (probably deeper blue)
Sloth is light blue
Envy is green
Charlie magne: Pride . this one’s one of my favorites. To be a good sport, I made a version of Charlie with a pallet close to her og one. However I much prefer the purple design with the brown hair. Charlie was described as a princess of hell with her father being in charged of the pride ring, owning a hotel with the hope to redeem sinners, and is said to be based around a porcelain doll or marionette. I don’t do subtle and I’m a real literal person , so naturally I took it literally. The story I have in mind is that she’s a goop monster that’s genuinely kind but still pretty prideful , residing in a ball jointed doll’s body that was made by her father. It is constantly breaking and repeating itself much like her ego. I gave her swirly bangs just because, a crown ponytail holder to dignify her status, and a skirt suit because I love fashion and I worked really hard on her doll legs and I want them seen. She is meant to be seen as someone in charge but still approachable. A warm , savvy, hotel owner.
Vaggie (Angel version.): pride.I made two different versions of Vaggie here. This one’s the bird/angel variant. It may be a little obvious but i was inspired by sirene from devilman for her head wing design. Video explains it better. Why did i make two Vaggie’s outta one? Because i LOVE moths but the angel aspect is important to the og story- but I kept getting told she was supposed to look like a moth (pilot design was too vague while the current design looks too abstractly bird like and.). Once more, I am very literal and the theming was either too subtle or not executed fully for me to get it. I also preferred her pilot pallet and fit, they could have just gotten rid of the stripes and called it a day if animations friendly was the goal. But that’s neither here nor there.
Vaggie (Moth version.): Wrath. I made two different versions of Vaggie here. This is my other favorite, because , once again , I love moths. I wanted the theme to be a little more obvious. I took a bit from Rosine from bezerk for this one. I just find hair wings to be a very good idea. Anyway, if there is one thing id like to rework on this one, it’s some aspects of her pallet. I like it but i wanted to change up teh values more, I went with pink because it’s an offset of red and still fits the whole wreath thing while keeping the moth theme strong. I also took some of her the zoophobia aspects and added some her too. Speaking of zoophibia, moth vaggie and redesigned angel dust would be an item like they were in zophobia. I actually prefer their dynamic.in my rewrite , Angel would be a trans gal too (I want to do somethin different.) so twice the lesbians couplings in the female lead show.
Baxter (Anglerfish) : Sloth. I had a concept of keeping em an anglerfish . Not much to say about this one tho i really like the pallet and the hair. Baxter in this rewrite would be maintinence as well as an inventor and be mechanically driven. The concept behind this one is that , while humans’s sexual dimorphism isn’t that drastic, the male and females of the angler fish species are drastically different, with females being far larger and having the “angler” while males are super small and have no glo. Well, I thought it be clever to make this Baxter a transman. I figured the glowing hat would be a neat hint like how helluva boss uses imp horns. Trans rep is always nice.
Baxter(Jelyfish) : Sloth. I made em a mix of a moon jellyfish and a Portuguese man-o-war. I felt that a positively slothful animal would be a jellyfish 🪼 many float too and fro doing absolutely nothing as food gets caught in their tendrils. Plenty are light blue, fixing
All the characters, should i ever get that far, kinda coincide with a color of the rainbow 🌈. I figured that be a neat reference to one of Charlie’s songs as well as show the sin’s colors but id have to balance it out by showing LGBTQ characters in heaven so Its implied that these sinners didn’t “go to hell for being gay” but went to hell for their own actions. I specify this because an accidental interpretation of hh is how prevalent lgbt characters are in hell and how we rarely even touch heaven- so some people saw it as such.

They both have 2000s fashion taste instead of clowns.

Both of them snitch each other every time when they get into a situation.
Their designs are based on their concept art and personality inspo is The Dee dee twins from Batman Beyond,Panty and stocking and the Britski Twins from LPS.
Second try after sketching her more on my government final (don't ask ill kill myself) also I don't care abt viv pls don't flame me for hating or liking her when I don't do either 🙏
ANYWAY so I saw an old/chubby version of Bel (idk by whom I'm sorry 😭) and it inspired me to give my redesign wayyy more shape, and I do imagine her as older I didn't make that as clear as I shpuldve
The sin of sloth is associated w/ donkeys, goats, and snails so I. Took snails and ran LMAO so she's literally like half snail half donkey/goat/hooved animal but lowk also kinda sea slug (also some tummy scales bc the baphomets in the show have scales)
I went with the biblical light blue for her with bits of NOT purple but a pink-blue pls do not get it wrong 🙌 I also made her a mostly dark pallete bc. Darkness is easier to sleep in 🧚♀️
I think that the candle on her head/hair/also her ears is like a melty texture, it drips and flows fr its also meant to resemble like a wooly blanket over yhe shoulders
And NO she shan't have arms, she can pick stuff up telepathically (the swirls on her sides glow when she does) but she's too lazy to even do that most times
I don't exactly vibe with her ring being medical things since. Yk hospitals are filled with hard workers that work 12 hour shifts and such. I'd rather it have been more techy OR snowy but I have no ideas past that so yk (also I think Kathy Bates should voice her. Or Morgan freeman. Calm voice) she's also def a drug dealer 100%

Honest to god think moxie would be the type to have extravagant robes and then just wear like heart boxers underneath. Millie would just rock graphic tees like the rest of us lmfao .
