I… the whole reason why I told you I was 60 when I first met you was well, I only thought I’d be here for a few weeks, and if I said I was closer to your age, I thought it’d make it easier to uh…well.. to fuck you. um.. you have every right to be furious with me if you are, and if you’re disgusted by the age gap and just my lying in general… I understand. We can…we can file for divorce and then I’ll return to Earth-3 so you never have to see me again.

That’s...that’s one hell of a confession, Jay. Especially the way you phrased it. People have omitted some very important details in the past just to ‘sleep’ with me, but I think this one takes the cake.

*Sighs and rubs his face* Okay...look. Your age didn’t factor into my initial attraction to you and it’s not going to break up our marriage now. In fact, as far as ‘lies’ go, this is a relatively white one. I mean, I only promised myself I wasn’t going to go after someone younger, so you still fit the bill of my ideal man. 

I guess this also explains why you’re so phenomenal in...well, you know. Almost a century’s worth of adult experience, good lord...

I do, however, feel like we should even out the score for secrets. *Strokes chin, feeling just a little vindictive* I guess I don’t have much relationship-wise to tell you. Well, except for the fact that I almost married Bruce. In fact, I seriously considered giving him a call before we started dating. I’m not sure if that factoid annoys you or not.

Okay, yes, we made a quick stop at a strip club, but it wasn’t our idea and we weren’t there for very long. I saw nothing and I certainly didn’t pay to see anything, so please don’t think I enjoyed this endeavor. It was stupid. 

And it’s never happening again.

I’m not sure if anyone was watching me or not. I was really only focusing on my drink. One of the girls did chat with me. We talked a little bit about the economy and what life on Mars might be like.

Overall, it was a weird experience. I’ve never been to a bar like that before. Have you?
