There was always that wonder if time hadn't robbed him of his youth back then. Those years meant to sharpen his skills, naturally age into that leadership role than to be thrusted into it in blind hope. Just as they had all been there for him, trying to protect him, save him... he wishes he could return the favor tenfold. Though unnerving to let gaze fall upon ethereal brother, he notes a lowering of dark locks & a voice crestfallen as he listens. A similar shame clings to his shoulders, though one to be so fearful to be unable to look at the other for long.
Fighting it all, his gaze returns to the other, knowing the life ( afterlife ? ) he now lives is not an easy one. Not when he was such a foundation to their team...
" It's fine, Cole. " No words could be truer by that. If anything, doesn't Lloyd owe him an apology for how he was now ? " You don't need to be sorry for anything. Not with me anyway. " An awkward pause follows, as he couldn't find a more subtle way to ask what he wanted to ask.
" So... what do you mean then ? "

How could he be the master of earth if he could no longer FEEL the earth beneath him? He is a ghost now, how could he be a ninja anymore? Support from his brothers certainly helped him process and progress in his newfound life but there was only so much the living could do to comfort the dead. Knees met his chest as the ghost lowered himself closer to the floor when prompted for clarification. 〝 I don't know how much you remember from MORRO'S possession but... do you remember the ice labyrinth? 〞
Worried if he stopped he wouldn't be able to continue, the husk of the master of EARTH pressed on. 〝 Everyone saw glimpses of their own futures but mine couldn't be seen. That means I don't HAVE a future, right? I'm just gonna be a ghost forever now.. 〞
