Claudia and Callum's relationship is actually kind of comical. Claudia even after all doesn't want to hurt or hate Callum but Callum absolutely loathes her. He knew she could drown when opening her bottle under the sea and he tortured her with a frozen blood spell. Had Claudia not run away I feel like he would have gone further (understandably so because he thought she ruined his life by killing Akiyu.)

This guy used to have a fat crush on her while she just saw him as a dear friend‚ ignoring his feelings and even using them as manipulation and now she's like "I don't want to hate or hurt you🥹" while he's like "die."

She’s still ignoring his feelings — she doesn’t appear to even see herself, let alone understand Callum, but he sees her as an existential threat to Rayla and everyone else he cares about.
