I've seen: some assorted Girlsei moments, a bunch of other random small things pertaining to the Flower Twink (i still have no idea who he is though), That One Weird Route Scene (you know the one), and now this, all with absolutely zero context. What even is Deltarune at this point? Can we declare Tricky Tony to be clinically insane or a writing genius?

...should I once more download the demo and do my best to make it through Chapter 1 on the assumption that it gets more fun from there? (I probably won't because I don't feel curious enough to do so but i thought I'd ask anyway. but who am I kidding I know you'll say yes)

There's actually a lot of very very interesting influences! The newest weird route scene is very obviously inspired by the wrongwarp glitch from Mother 1, with several references to it within the scene! The wrongwarp area is also referenced in the chapter three Egg Room, being referred to as a "terrible place".

I've seen a bunch of "fandom etiquette" posts on my dash today and I'm going to say something that is maybe going to be unpopular but;

The absolutely pervasive mentality that unwanted criticism or critique shouldn't be given and should be ignored is why fans of color don't stay in fan spaces.

And I am not going to mince words here:

A lot of you are racist. A lot of your fan works are racist.

That might have been difficult to hear. And if it was, you should probably reflect on why that was.

"Fandom etiquette" has created a space where fans of color either bite our tongues and eventually leave or say something, get dogged on, and then eventually leave.

So much of "fandom etiquette" seems to be about insulating creatives from Feeling Bad and hostility to any kind of negative feedback is a pretty big contributor to why bigotry festers in these spaces.

There are reasons why women and other people might want to avoid (particularly straight) cis men, just like there are POC who avoid interacting with white people, and queer people who avoid interacting with straight people. There are also outside of the internet women only spaces, queer only spaces, black only spaces (and by spaces I mean organisations, book clubs, bars, study groups, friend groups), and have been for decades.

And then if we acknowledge that, we can discuss the contradictions of this isolationism, its potential issues, how it's not a solution for systematic violence, or how DNIs in particular are useless anyway because you cannot actually forbid people from interacting with your content, nor do people check other people's bio before interacting (e.g.: me right now), and act more as a "X group not welcome" sign than anything else.

But before that way too many of you need to stop acting like patriarchy isn't a thing or like you're not surrounded by women who've been traumatised by men everywhere you go.

Please read this because it is EXTREMELY important me (a transgender man) and to other trans individuals.

The US Government is currently trying to pass an incredibly dangerous national law for trans youth called HR 2616.

This bill would ban all Federally funded schools from teaching about gender identity or sexual orientation, prevent teachers from using the correct pronouns and names for trans students, remove books with any trans representation in them, and even go as far as to prevent teachers from acknowledging trans identity AT ALL.

Any school that does not follow this will lose all federal funding. This bill would also require teachers to forcibly out trans students to their families, which would be fatal to any trans student with a transphobic Family or just hateful family in general. Trans people are already a group that already has some of the highest rates of being victim to suicide, domestic violence, and sexual assault.

This bill actively makes teachers put those innocent children at such a big risk. This bill has rapidly passed the house this week with support from all 209 republicans, as well as 8 democrats. But, it's still being voted on in the senate, which means there is still time to help stop this.

To help stop this, you can visit 5calls.org (look up 2616 in the search bar), one of the most top issues filed Oppose Attacks on LGBTQ+ Students. Once you put in your general location, it will pull-up contact information for your senator, and give you a script for calling them.

If you are a minor and/or do not feel comfortable doing this, PLEASE repost this on here, or any other platform you are on/can find! This needs to be heard and fought against.

Watched the Backrooms movie. Loved it. Thought it was a great exploration of mental illness and the inability to move past bad memories. Hopped on Tumblr.
