First time at the opera and clearly did not get memo for the dapper dress code. Needless to say it was fashion week all over again with the exceptions of a coloratura soprano and a verdi baritone. 

Aside from the velvet fashion, I found it bizarre that through out the entire production of La Boheme I was comparing the parallels between La Boheme and Rent in my head. Yes, Mimi is still called Mimi but this poor girl went from designing hand embroidery flowers in La Boheme to  a heroin addiction and pole dancing in Rent. Oh how, delightful romanticizing Paris was circa 1800s - despite the poverty and TB..

Titania Inglis Fall 2013 Collection

When you first enter the Standard Hotel's Highline room, you are greeted by imitation grass along with a white backdrop making the environment effortless as can be. Gracefully, one by one, each model entered the room adjusting to their proper position (some models standing on higher grounds than others). Minimalist in design, Inglis' conceptual approach had a dab of 90's influence with some geometric avant-garde shapes. Overall, solid colors of neutrals, grays, and blacks were the theme for this particular fall collection; creating an everlasting Zen-like atmosphere.
