“When a neighbor helps another, we strengthen our communities.” (Jennifer Pahlka) *** When we first moved into our neighborhood, I wasn’t sure if we were going to fit in. We’re a homeschooling family of 6 living in a tiny condo, and most of our neighbors are older, retired, single ladies. But 6 years later, we all have become the best of friends. They have watched our home and gotten our mails when we’ve gone out of town. And vice versa. They call on us when they need help with their homes (like getting something down from their attics), and we can count on them for their expertise (one used to be a nurse). They have all bought from our kids during fundraising time, and we have been invited to their homes during the holidays. These roses were given to me from one of our neighbors. Our kids went over to greet her, and they came back home with these freshly cut flowers from her garden. We are truly blessed and very fortunate to have found a home surrounded by such lovely neighbors. #blessed #eatplaylivewell #eatplaylivewelleveryday #neighbors https://www.instagram.com/p/B3bf3POHcdH/?igshid=1tdsjcvxltato
