Last Thursday during our weekly EBP Study session, Querine presented about urine loss in clients with low back pain (occurs more than you think!). This was part of an implementation plan for her MSc degree in pelvic floor physiotherapy. The goal is to educate therapists and trainers when it comes to these clients. The presentation focused on explaining what happens when people suffer from urine related problems while having low back pain. Also tools were provided to ask current and future clients the right questions if they experience these complaints. As a therapist, it is important to discuss issues as urine loss when having back problems. You'd be surprised how many physios are uncomfortable to talk about this topic, if they are aware of it at all... Low back pain can be associated with a dysfunctional pelvic floor and vice versa. Did you know the pelvic floor muscle is an important muscle that supports your bladder At EBP-studio we like to keep up and improve our knowledge. This is a example of how we do this💪🏼 (bij EBP Studio) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpCp3zyITcI/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
