Ever thought about how Grace would react after hearing Simon’s previous life on Eden and slowly realizing that the man grew up in a cult?

Even worse with the fact that Simon probably didn’t know it was a cult until Grace told him 😭

Grace would probably feel a lot of sadness. You don’t choose your upbringing, and Simon definitely was a child soldier.

What puts Simon apart though is I believe he comes to realize that in the sub or even knew before hand what he was apart of was wrong, though like a toxic relationship or upbringing, it’s very very difficult to just up and leave especially with how fucked Simon’s universe is. “I got tattooed by Eden, C.O.I burned it off. I didn’t have a say in either,” Is along the lines of what he said in the movie.

He never really had a choice. He’s never known freedom.

Through Grace, he’d discover himself and make his own choices. I don’t think Grace would ever need to tell him. Simon’s smart enough to put two and two together. He gets to decide who he is. Who he wants to be. Not a convict. Not the Butcher. Just Simon.
