Also. These white men are constant perpetuators of toxic masculinity. Too often do I see only black men getting the brunt of that critique. White men shit on black men and SOME (but still far too many of you niggaz out here imho) black men mimic that behavior, seriously believing hyper-masculinity and patriarchy are their Jacob’s ladder. Their portal for upward mobility. The scary thing is, far too often it IS. Black men are elevated when they SHIT on the people that supported them. The people who watered them. White America and the White Media praise them. They give them movies, shows, millions of dollars…Look at most black male celebrities very closely.

Mimicking white folks has NEVER helped us. It has NEVER liberated us.

Black men need to understand, we have responsibilities. Just because we experience hurt doesn’t give us the right to inflict hurt upon one of our own, someone we have privileges over. Black men believe that the white male standard is the best because many have been programmed since birth to view the world that way and so they begin to shit on the people around them, who don’t have the same privileges afforded the heteronormative cis-male gender.

Patriarchy. THIS IS CALLED PATRIARCHY. INDOCTRINATION INTO A COMMUNITY OF HYPER MASCULINE IDEALS.

Who doesn’t benefit from patriarchy? Women. Who benefits the LEAST from racism? Black, african, indigenous peoples.

So guess what that means for Black, African, indigenous WOMEN?
