So! I realised I've never made an introduction post to my blog, so here it is! (English is not my first language btw)

🌻My name is Eclipse, but you may also call me Moss!🌻

I'm non binary, my pronouns are He/They/It, I'm also asexual and demiromantic. I've known I was asexual all of my life, but it's been a journey to discover my gender identity and romantic orientation. As stated in my description, I have ADHD (diagnosed!) and mayyybe autism or non verbal learning disorder. I don't really know.

Recently I've come to the realisation that I'm otherkin, specifically a winged cat therian/otherkin.

Otherkin is a person who identifies as non-human, typically as being wholly or partially an animal or mythical being. Meanwhile, a therian is someone who identifies as a specific non-human animal. I still have my doubts, but my experience certainly is pointing towards that direction, with all the instincts, phantom shifts, and dream shifts.

I've doing a lot of research, lots and lots, it's been a really long journey to discover this about myself, lots of internal dialog, but I'm happy to settle into this identity. For the longest time I thought I was just a furry (I still am), but after discovering this community... Yeah, turns out that furries don't feel like the animal their fursona is. So whoops! Again!

I'm a college student studying Social Education, so I'm really interested in education. The list below is a list of my interests, so it's easier for people to know what I reblog about. This blog is not for my original stuff, btw, I have also lots of sideblogs for my own posts.

Anyways! I have a lot of different interests, most of which you may find in my blog, but I'm mainly interested in:

- 🌈Psycology and education are my passions. I'm also writing a book about a fantasy world with animals and monsters in it, so I'll also reblog a lot about that🌈

- You'll see that I post a lot about Palestine stuff. As a future social educator, I'm very concern with this situation, and this blog stands with Palestine on the matter. If it bothers you, DNI 🇵🇸

I think the best tumblr interaction I've ever had was when i replied to some post and referred to bigots with cute cartoon icons as "picrew racists" and this other person materialized out of NOWHERE to call me ableist and queerphobic because most people who use picrew are neurodivergent and nonbinary people. I was like, "i don't think that's true and also I am neurodivergent nonbinary people, what the fuck are you talking about", and they said VER BATIM "classic DARVO tactic" and were like why don't you just call me a slur or threaten me with violence since you're such an abuser or whatever, and I was like "I WAS JUST SAYING ITS FUNNY WHEN A BAD PERSON HAS A CUTE CARTOON ICON" and they immediately DM'd me their ENTIRE LEGAL STREET ADDRESS so I could doxx them or hurt them or something since I "clearly wanted to." Like that fast, like 2-3 replies. Pure unadulterated tumblr condensed into such a succinct exchange. 🤌 can't get that anywhere else baby.

I think that the strangest thing to get used to when growing up and becoming an adult nonhuman is how mundane your nonhumanity often really is.

Just because I don't identify as human doesn't mean I don't do boring stuff like pay bills and go to work. Even with how much my nonhuman nature impacts my personality and lifestyle, it is still just my every day reality.

I think the community should remember to be chill about people who seem to live eccentrically and whose only "crime" is being "weird" (for 'kin reasons and just unusual humans). After all, the person living a fantasy based life is just trying to be authentic.

I hate hate hate how our community recieves so much hate form outsiders. For a while now I've been wondering about telling my roomate about my winged cat identity. Not just because I wanted her to understand, but mostly because if I have shifts it isn't weird. But a couple weeks ago my friends and I were eating and for some reason therians came up. I felt like my ears perked up, my tail wagging, my claws flexing. I sat there completely ready to mentioning lightly that I'm a winged cat.

But my heart immediatly dropped, because they only see us as "crazy kids that need therapy and are delusional". I was devastated. Because I thought they would understand, but they are just the same as everybody else. They are good friends, but they would ever understand. No human would

I'm an african painted dog, weddell seal, sailfish and some sort of small cat. So a good mix of antelope, equids, certain fish, small monkeys and other small tree dwelling mammals, reptiles and birds.

I'm also a dog, but hunting urges there are more to track down and find for the humans. Not do much hunting itself if that makes sense. But bears, deer and game birds for that.

im a dragonkin/dragon therian and while my specific species is omnivore i do get prey urge with my shifts. if its a small shift ill get urges to hunt small birds like sparrows or pigeons, and even rodents like rabbits. if the shift is strong though my stupid dragonbrain will want to hunt wholeass animals like pigs, sheep and even COWS (it also doesnt help that im around big animals a lot for college reasons so its. fun.)

I'm a silken windhound (basically a sighthound) and I feel strong hunting urges for almost all birds and all small mammals. Even for cats or other small dogs sometimes. Generally anything that's bigger than a hare is a no for me, but it depends on the mood.

I never get hunting urges for fish and am not very interested in frogs or lizards!

somewhat anthropomorphic: very animalistic but might stand on two legs, such as a monstrous werewolf

I'm a Jackalope Hare! original poem by me about being the tricksome, troublesome critter that I am. Prrrrrr!!

I am also thinking of doing a poetry collection entirely about nonhumanity as I have found myself greatly inspired and deeply fascinated by the many wondrous souls I have encountered within the nonhuman community. Those who I meet here seem so very worthy of being captured within art with such beauty I wish to replicate in verse.

Theriantok is very heavily centered around ableism and fatphobia. Transphobia and racism too but thats a conversation for a different time.

Much of theriantok is based around quadrobics and masks, not that this is a bad thing by itself! But it leaves open little room for people trying to spread information!

The algorithm pushes out people with pretty scenery, good quality, a nice mask, skinny body and very good quads.

This leads younger therians, (who are oft3n actually otherhearted) to only see that side! Only seeing past lives and connections, only seeing skinny bodies doing perfect quads with very palatable feelings.

Animal urges are demonized, doing messy quads is ugly.

Being fat gets you nowhere, your just cringe.

If your delusional in any way they hate you, and say your promoting delusions.

You must be sane, you must be skinny, you must be pretty.

I hate this culture on tiktok, i want to SEE my fellow freaks and creatures, animals who arent fully sane and their therianthropy stems from delusion. Animals who run around in the mud and growl at strangers.

I want animals like me.

Yeah :(. When I first found about the therian community it felt immediately as if I had to do certain things to "become" a therian. Trying to do quads didn't work for me. I'm too skinny and have basically no muscle. Tried to make a mask once but in my country don't sell animal masks and buying one in Amazon would raise questions. I have a yarn tail and that's it, but I mostly don't wear it.

For me, "therian gear" is using things your theriotype would use. I have collars, cat toys, a nest, and that's the gear I'm proudest of. If I wear it in public, yes, people stare, but no one has commented anything so far.

But gear shouldn't matter! I'm a psychological non human. I believe my winged cat identity comes from my neurodivergence, I'm autistic and have ADHD, so I believe that that makes me different than humans, and my behaviors and ways to see the world are more animal like. But I also have shifts. I've known that I'm not human since I was a kid.

Discovering the "therian tiktok" made me believe there were certain things I was "supposed" to do to be myself. It frustrated me, I would prefer for people to post educational stuff and throw away misinformation but alas. In the end, I'm just me. I'm a winged cat, in any way except physical. No one can change it.
