So, I lost my job and need to earn some kind of money to keep my apartment until I can apply for Unemployment since the place I worked at has decided to ignore me completely when I call to get access to my paystubs. So I’m opening up commissions.

     Tord sighed, the Leaning Tower of Paperwork cradled in his hands as he stumbled to his office. “Somehow, I think this stack grows every day,” he grumbled. Suddenly, he tripped over a small security bot, sending him tumbling to the floor and the paperwork flying everywhere. With a few harsh phrases, he got up and noticed a bloody pile of clothing on the floor nearby.

“Hva faen…?” he whispered as it began to wiggle.

     He walked over and gently nudged the pile with the tip of his boot and backed up slightly when a small tail popped out of the pile.

Pausing to look around, he couched and moved the clothes a little, revealing a small wiggling baby, half his body covered in a black carapace-like substance, a visible Y-incision…

And a smile on his face like nothing had happened, like he hadn’t been apparently cut open, like he wasn’t buried in bloody clothing. Then, the baby squeed.

    Tord reached towards his pocket to grab his comm unit and call in someone, but that squee had won him over. He picked up the baby and walked to the medical bay. “Who here knows how to take care of babies,” he asked, “Because I’m clueless.”
