If your going somewhere and you know you’re going to have to eat out, bring your own dish to eat from and utensils too if you can! Restaurants, especially fast food places, are usually very understanding and will put your food in your box if you just ask them. ☁️🌿

The plastic toy industry is massive — and the problem it generates is even larger.

.

They make up 90% of the toy market (which hit $20.36 billion in sales last year), have crazy short lifespans (days, weeks, months at most), are pretty much impossible to recycle due to their makeup (which usually contains not just plastic but metals and wood as well, all coated with a variety of chemicals), and are seeped thoroughly in toxins (such as phthalates, intended to soften the toy) that are linked to a number of health issues, including birth defects, cancer and diabetes.

While these brightly-coloured playthings are attractive options for a child, the dark side — the environmental harm they cause — that the toy industry hides none too fervently holds far, far more importance. So keep this in mind the next time you’re considering getting a plastic toy for someone: is it worth it? ☁️🌿

In my dreams, I see strange things sometimes... but will our future look like this? ☁️🌿

It was a beautiful, sunny day, no clouds in sight — except for me! (But I’m a happy cloud, so I don’t cast any gloomy shadow).

I blinked, and there it was: this massive, horrible, monstrosity of a....

.

GARBAGE PATCH. And a poor little fish was stuck in it too!! I couldn’t help, because I’m just a cloud, but I was so, so sad.

.

All I could see was garbage, garbage, and more garbage. It was like it never ended! Now I really wanted to cry. All those poor marine animals who had to live in this! What would they do if every body of water on Earth became like this? What would we do?

.

Moral of the story is, please reuse if you can and recycle always! Here to spread happiness and remind everyone to stay green! We don’t want any more garbage patches like this one... ☁️🌿
