Thomas left the care of the drunk student to another as his sister pulled him away. Hearing her tone, he knew right away she had something to say about his choice of topic with his classmates. “I was relaxed,” he argued calmly. “It’s not that I don’t want to be here, it’s just not that fun to me.” He shrugged. Partying and being wild had lost all its appeal after his first semester in college. At first, it had been great to finally experience everything their parents never let him do but then he realized, he didn’t care for most of it after all. He would still rather spend his time with his head in a textbook or in a lab than anywhere else.
“It’s not even that crazy it’s just...a dance,” Ophelia said but shook her head. Thomas and her were never really going to see eye to eye on topics. That was completely okay though because she almost loved that they had opposing views. It made things interesting and definitely gave her new perspectives that she would never think of before. “But I mean, I get it. The program the school has put on is kind of stupid, though you won’t catch me saying that to their faces. Forcing you to marry someone and covering it up with something like this does seem a little bit sketchy.” She said and shrugged a little. “How’re you holding up with it? Who did you end up getting as your partner?”
