(Oh fuck yeah right I have this blog)
is anyone else seeing this poster around copper-9? seems kinda mean!
What if Tessa was a ghost? Would you try to find a way to talk to her again?
"Maybe... I don't know..." "She wouldn't like the things I've done."
"Case in point, it wasn't easy to hunt rats and things in that manor when your boss kept insisting you wear fancy clothes." Seeing the more clingy side of matters did give her an unfortunate other view of what things were like... Being treated like an expensive doll at every gathering they planned.
"And... If you really want things to get painful for you... Considering the whole hierarchy going on, I'm still J's superior, so try to compute that." She's going to answer as she pulled the snowmobile and it's cargo into the rather large loading bay and ordered the . massive doors to close.
"That raises a fair point, J how do you expect me to preform my normal duties in a maid uniform?" "I'm sure you'll manage." "But if not I can always find a feather duster for you." She says jokingly
"I mean... we could always have you pose with said feather duster." Vanessa pointed out as she hopped off the parked snowmobile and started unloading the sled... using those same... weird solver-like powers of hers that was missing that ever familiar symbol... with stuff just floating off and away... to somewhere...
The damaged pod would be put in the workshop and J's things would be put in her new room... which she hoped was to her liking.
"Next thing would be getting Penny's things in order."
"Yeah maybe we could have a photoshoot too." "I'd rather swim in nanite acid." "You're no fun." "Well anyways, do you wanna at least see my place before you move it with robo-magic?"
"It's not robo-magic..." Vanessa would mutter softly as she listened to J and Penny squabble.
"Did you want to see your new space now or after we do the tour?"
"After seems fair."

"Well... if all else fails, I could haul it back to one of the loading bays... that way you don't have to fight snow just to keep working on it... if that works for both of you?"
"Oh and... do either of you know how to drive?"
"Nope, not at all." "I've operated a wheel loader multiple times if that counts..."
"Okay... so looks like I'll have to drive then... Not that I mind... I could just do something really weird... but... I feel I've made J uneasy enough for today..."
"A normal method of transportation is preferable yes." "Ugh boring..."
"Okay... I'll take a bit to fetch things... I mean, it's not THAT far from here." Vanessa would answer with a sigh, her tail flicking about as she turned to leave... then just plain vanished in a sudden burst of movement.
Sure it may take a bit, but eventually what looked to be a souped up snowmobile with an equally souped-up sled attached would come into view, the spinning belts gripping into the ice, pavement, and snow quite effortlessly as a familiar driver would make her way towards their hiding spot.
No idea where she got that thing from, but it was pretty clear she knew how to operate it quite nicely, especially with how she came to a neat stop.
"Think this would work?" She'd ask, sounding quite chipper as she sipped on one of her thermoses of oil.
"I suppose..." *Penny is silent for a moment, staring at it* "... I'm putting my mech project on hold..."
"Tell you what, we get everyone comfortable and situated, I'll help you build that big mech." Vanessa would calmly offer as she tossed both drones a couple more of those thermoses she brought with her.
Getting all their stuff onto the sled was going to be her thing, even if it might earn her some funny looks.
"Thankfully I don't really have a lot of stuff..." "Eheh... I don't think you'll be able to transport all of my stuff... Mainly because I live like 7 klicks west of here and I've got... Some sizable equipment..."
"If it takes a few trips, it takes a few trips... or I could just go with the other method and get things over with."
Either way... she was going to be sticking J's stuff onto the sled using... what could be described vaguely as being like the solver, but at the same time would feel off. There were no symbols appearing anywhere on her and stuff was just... happening.
It might be easier to just get J over there and situated first... then come back for Penny's stuff the more... interesting way.
"I don't think you understand what she means by-" "I-It's less of equipment and more of infrastructure if I'm gonna be honest..."
"...That wouldn't stop me... Actually. Real body this time... Not a remote clone. Very different beast." Vanessa pointed out rather casually as she made sure the various items were properly secured, her tail swishing rather intently as usual.
*But if you don't want me to pluck the whole thing like a city planner in sim city, you might want to be specific with what you want moved."
"Well it's-" *J sighs and cuts her off* "Look lets just cross that bridge when we get there instead of standing around talking about it all day."
"Okay... just find yourself a seat and I'll drive this stuff back to the bunker, alright? And... don't forget to use the seat belt, this thing moves pretty fast once it gets rolling."
Vanessa didn't want to argue over whether things were possible or not at this point, so she was already seating herself on the oversized snowmobile and was waiting to just start going as soon as they were both seated.
If anything, they can stare at the key file and "welcome packet" that she transmitted to them while she drives.
*They both get themselves seated*
Hopefully they don't mind the slow building up of speed as the snowmobile carefully turned in in a wide arc, pulling the sled along as it made the journey back to the loading dock at the back of the bunker. Eventually, it would get going to a pretty nice clip in spite of it's load.
"So... after the two of you get situated, is there anything else on the itinerary?" Might as well make some conversation during the time it took to get there.
"Well I was thinking maybe we could do some shopping later and get Penny some semblance of a uniform instead of a tacky old jacket." "First off, my jacket is fine, you're way too formal for a frozen wasteland. Second off, uniforms were never part of my contract and never will be." "Not even for a 1 kilo piece of fissile material?" "..." "Alright fine, I'll wear whatever." "HAH! YOU'RE WEARING A MAID DRESS!" "What? Hell n-" "TOO LATE! I RECORDED OUR CONVERSATION! Plus no maid dress, no fissile material." "Ugh... Hey Vanessa, you wouldn't happen to have a blunt object I can beat J to death with would you?"
"J, you mean like back at the manor, or are we talking a different style?" Vanessa chipped in, leaving out what styles those were... for a bit of fun.
"As for blunt objects... plenty... although I've had to Uzi proof where I keep them. She hasn't found the snow supplies yet though." There was a temptation to point out that she has backups in a replica Cyn voice, but that might have been a bit much... even if it was true.
"Speaking of which... there are always snowball fights..."
"I was thinking manor style, though I am open to suggestions." "Ugh, Uzi proofing... It's practically an arms race..."
"Having nostalgic vibes?" Vanessa smirked as the well hidden loading bay came into view.
"It isn't so much an arms race as finding the right balance between being able to keep her out without convincing her that there is anything worth looking at inside."
"Ha nah, I absolutely hated the maid uniforms. I just think it'd be funny to see her in one." "I think it'd be funny if you fell into a meat grinder." "Has anyone ever told you that you're unnecessarily violent and aggressive?" "Thank you, I try my best."

*But if you don't want me to pluck the whole thing like a city planner in sim city, you might want to be specific with what you want moved."
"Well it's-" *J sighs and cuts her off* "Look lets just cross that bridge when we get there instead of standing around talking about it all day."
"Well... if all else fails, I could haul it back to one of the loading bays... that way you don't have to fight snow just to keep working on it... if that works for both of you?"
"Oh and... do either of you know how to drive?"
