On the search for a mentor, look for blossoms of fruit within the wise around you. Do you witness love? Joy? Peace? Patience? Kindness? Goodness? Self-control? Do they both follow and lead? Do they parent in a way that resonates with how God is calling you to shepherd your own children? Are they in a healthy marriage? Do they have thriving friendships? Do they keep to their word? Approach them Like any friendship, look for chemistry. Ask to share an hour and enjoy a coffee together. Are they a busy person? Maybe ask to tag along on something their already doing.
