Pinches Cucarachas by Clara Nieblas
Visual representation of what it was like sitting at the kitchen table as a kid. Having to shoo away roaches to make space for your food. The process of becoming desensitized. We are one because we at the same table.

Since then, there’s also been Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Cordova
Here’s a list of Chicana/Latina Lesbian Books.
I can personally recommend:
Juliet Takes a Breath by Gabby Rivera
Down to the Bone by Mayra Lazara Dole
Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Cordova
When We Were Outlaws by Jeanne Cordova
Before the Rain: A Memoir of Love and Revolution by Luisita Lopez Torregrosa
“Chopper! Chopper!: Poetry from Bordered Lives” (https://www.amazon.com/Chopper-Poetry-Bordered-Lives/dp/0989036103).
By Veronica Reyes
It’s a great book of Spanglish poems by a kick ass East LA lesbian. I did my thesis on it so if you wanna talk about the symbolism of tortillas hmu.
Cw for casual cissexism (equating womanhood to vaginas), discussion of homophobia, sexism, racism. Nothing too intense.
@fastrthanlite Before Night Falls by Reinaldo Arenas for the Latinx LGBTQIA reading list
Luz en lo Oscuro by Gloria Anzaldúa
(her book discusses her concepts of re-envisioning Coyolxauhqui mestiza conciousness, the third space/nepantla, and so much more. It’s not specifically lgbtq but I believe it’s a must read for Chicanxs and queer Chicanxs especially as it is all about identity)
