Have the sheep considered the classic dig 12 feet down, bury 6 feet back, place a dead animal on top, and then fill in the rest of the hole so if it’s ever redug up someone just finds the dead animal and leaves it alone.

Okay so I have a frankly frightening amount of knowledge on hiding dead bodies because of a hyperfixation when I was 15 but that's not important!!

The burying a dead body and then burying a dead animal trick doesn't really work anymore, interestingly enough! Because cadaver dogs are trained on human scents specifically, they don't typically alert to animal scents (though they can alert to pig? But if they dig up a random pig corpse then they'll be confused about that and keep digging yada yada yada) so they don't alert to the smell of animal decomposition. And theres the semantics!!! The semantics!! Disturbed dirt, the changes in vegetation in the area, etc etc. Are all suspicious especially if it's in an area where there was no gardening/landscaping/construction happening previously.

I'd tell you my very detailed plan on how to properly dispose of a dead body but seeing as this is the internet I think I'd end up on several government watch lists and I quite enjoy my only slightly tracked internet experience (I kid, I kid.)
