All the Right Things
Old concept thumbnail comic! I've been working on some commissions which I'm very grateful for the opportunity to do so!! This comic is about growth, the shedding of shame and self acceptance 🥹♥️

“Always been too scared and unprepared
To let anybody get too close to me
But when I met you, right away, I knew
You would never, ever, ever hurt me.”
I love this gif. Me when I need my stool
Oh but, what a blessing it is to have loved at all.
my brain fr said today: have u considered worrying about it?
sometimes I just have to make it through the day and the motions. I hope the pain lessens the more I keep trying.
It rlly do be like that tho. Both of my inner wolves are emotionally compromised ☝️🤓

A lot of people who experience abus3 don't immediately recognize it as abus3. Whether it comes from a parent, a friend, a partner, a family member, someone you trusted, or even a stranger, the response can be the same.
People often spend months or years replaying moments in their head, trying to figure out what they did wrong. Looking for the thing they could have said or done differently. A mistake they made. The moment they "caused" it.
If you've ever done that, I'm sorry.
It's okay to have faith in people. It's okay to hope things can get better. It's okay to reflect on your own actions and want to improve where you can.
But some things were never yours to carry.
You are not responsible for another person's choices, patterns, cruelty, or inability to regulate their emotions.
There are some lines that should never be crossed.
This comic is for anyone who spent too long blaming themselves for something that was never really their fault.

A woman sits beneath the night sky and weeps for everything she has lost.
A moth rests beside her, drawn to the light.
"Little moth, with wings of dust and moonlight, how brave you are to spend your life believing in distant stars."
But the stars do not take away her sorrow.
They only guide and remind her, that beauty and hope still exists.
Vent art on one of my sketchbook pages, I used it to get extra paint off my brush ha. The hardest thing about loss, & heartbreak(and all the other emotions that come with it) is that it doesn't stay neatly inside the lines. It spills onto everything. The page, the memories, the future you imagined. Grief, is not an intellectual issue. No matter how many times you analyze it, or try to understand it in your mind on a logical level. The feelings remain. Little by little(sometimes painfully so), you learn to carry them. You let go where you can. You make room for what is.
