I like thinking about how his gemstone is in a place that's associated with consumption but he's temperant, starving his whole life for what he really wants but can't have, surely he can be full on Family and Community and God only! Eiden is such a rich and amazing character to have. There needs to be more characters like him in media. His openness, his acceptance, his kindheartedness.

The fact hes lived as just a regular person, worked at bars, as a cleaner, did a lot of part time jobs until he eventually found a job he actually loved, and that was something thats considered unusual, a designer (of sex toys). And even with a job he absolutely loved it still wasnt written as perfect. He would be exhausted, he wouldnt meet his friends often, he had some shit experiences or didnt know how to deal with things and just wanted to quit.

Him being an orphan also isnt his only story plot point or his main characteristic, which it often is in media. He didnt even talk about it until a lot later into the game, and then just one event where it was focused on it for his own closure. But even with the event, it wasnt focused solely on the fact hes an orphan, but rather his whole life and him realizing his own emotions.

He realized as a kid he used to be cold and say things that couldve hurt people around him, because of his own frustration and sadness. Hes grown up and matured, and instead of being like "wow I was a fucking idiot", he acknowledges he was young and he had a lot going on.

Living through the things he did while still being a kid, its reasonable that he was emotional and did things he later regretted. He regretted not telling the people who cared for him that he was thankful. But he just hopes they realized it anyways. He regretted being around people who hurt him. But he eventually left them. He regretted not standing up for himself at shitty jobs and to shitty people. But he isnt at those jobs anymore, and isnt bothered by those people anymore.

He now has a different life with different people and he makes the most out of it. He forgave himself and thanked everyone he wanted and told those he wanted to fuck off in his heart. And thats enough for closure.
