Hello! I wondered whether it might be possible to look at the devnotes for the cutscene where Sam brings us to John for the first time? That scene is so funny to me, from the way John interacts with Sam and the others to how it looks like both if them instantly clock Hansry. Thank you!
I love that scene. I must have seen it several dozen times by now at least (to help me get their voices down for fic) and I still delight in it.
You are absolutely correct that John seems to clock them immediately, and a part of me (even despite the presence of other romances) makes me think that was deliberately done. Otherwise why the chuckle? Why the emphasis on escort?
Anyway, a lot of the conversation doesn't contain any devnotes of... uh, note, but there are a few bits that I have been living and dying by ever since I saw them.
First, we get some wonderful Jobst hate from John:

On the Jamuel front, one thing that really struck me is how responsive they are to each other in this scene.
First, the mutual acknowledgment here:
Then the fact that they literally will finish each other's sentences, regardless of whether or not Henry is positive or negative about rescuing Hans:
They also seem to love roasting Henry as a pair, just step-in-step playing off each other. It's beautiful to witness.

And finally, this doesn't even have a devnote, I just love that John says this:
I also want to remark on one more thing, namely the fact that Sam did not need to be part of this conversation at all, but was included even so. John positioned himself so he could be adjacent to both of them, thus allowing him to give equal attention to Sam and Henry when Sam arguably was not a necessary part of the conversation. Like, yes, in my eyes, Sam is necessary in every conversation, including those the game didn't put him in, but from a dev perspective this is a fascinating choice. It really highlights his importance, not just in the community, but to John in particular.

“Hey, mom,” Stiles whispered to the trees, “I hope you’re watching. It’s finally here, years in the making, really. I’m excited for this, but I’m also super nervous.”
Stiles swallowed deeply. “That’s normal, right?”
He looked around, hoping the pack wasn’t close enough to hear him. “Anyway, I wanted to tell you I’m thinking of you today; Dad is, too.”
Stiles paused.
“If you could give me a sign, maybe, that you’re here? I’d love that.”
An hour later, as Noah was walking Stiles down the aisle, a breeze twirled flower petals around Derek and Stiles knew Claudia was there.
Derek walked into the room, closing the curtain behind him. The chance of someone seeing them there, in an apartment at the top of a tall building was small, but Derek took the extra precautions anyways. Privacy was an important thing for him.
Stiles was already taking off the swim shorts he was bathing in. Then, he dried his entire body off with a towel, before he jumped on the bed. Everything in here looked so expensive that he was scared even of something like the bed getting slightly wet.
Stiles took another sip of his Champagne. He couldn’t tell by the taste, but from the looks of the bottle it was probably the most expensive beverage he ever drank.
„Are you just gonna bathe here the entire time, or do you want to do some… other things as well?“
Stiles averted his gaze from the city below them and looked at Derek instead. He knew exactly what kind of things Derek had in mind. He nodded excitedly.
Stiles jumped out of the pool, running through the curtain back inside. Oh, he definitely wanted to do those things with Derek.
When they walked in, Stiles gasped. He stopped right there, suddenly feeling like he can’t move. He was so awestruck that his knees got wobbly. He was staring at the room in front of him. They won’t be staying here for long, but it must have been incredibly expensive ayways.
„Like it?“ Derek asked with a pleased look on his face.
„Like it? Are you kidding? It’s incredible!“
Stiles walked over to the enormous window and opened the curtains. There was a pool outside, and he couldn’t wait to spend most of the time just bathing in the azure water.
