Gone Girl (2014), B-. The film followed and included almost every nook and cranny of the book. This attention to detail, however, was in exchange for the fact that this. movie. was so. freakin. long. Some scenes were more drawn out that they had to be and David Fincher could have been more efficient in telling some parts of this complex story. Yet, the acting was good (Tyler Perry delivered the best performance, in my opinion) and Fincher captured the dark tone of the story well. It's worth seeing, especially for fans of the book. But it's a film that requires some patience and maybe a little caffeine.
