This is what I hate the most about nearly all online debates. Sometimes opposing sides are NOT equal, and we shouldnât treat them as if they were.
Love this
WOW
this was perfect
NOT ONE MINUTE MAN LMFAO
đ¶ one of these things are not like the others! đ¶
Jesus are you people really so indoctrinated that âsocialismâ is âevilâ???
Finally, some good news.
I donât understand the logic that whoever is calmest in an argument is winning and that somehow anger invalidates your words. I mean I can argue that your great auntâs name is Jihinksenbob for an hour straight and be perfectly fine. Itâs very easy to be calm when the topic doesnât affect you personally or you just donât know what the hell youâre talking about.
Watch: SNL roasts Trump with âRacists for Trumpâ ad
Honestly whoever is writing these SNL skitsâŠ.. Finally SNL feels vital and important again, satire wise
Iâm watching Prison Break and everyone whoâs ever watched it has told me Iâll get bored after the 2nd season but Iâm currently on season 4 because my stupid ass doesnât care if the story line has become ridiculous and makes no damn sense because I fancy Michael Scofield SO MUCH and I love Sucre and Mahone and BRAD rip Brad
Update: Iâm on season 5 and am horrified to learn that there are only NINE EPISODES I was expecting a full length series and now I donât know what Iâm going to do when it finishes. I need something else to replace the Prison Break shaped hole in my heart if anyone has recommendations Iâm all ears
sexist garbage in political cartoons: then and now
in the early 20th century, men would have been delighted to give women the vote if only they werent such screeching harpies all the time
thankfully 100 years later we live in an enlightened time when women are listened to and respected
100 years ago guys were like, what the heck are they protesting for? why are they so violent and unreasonable? i donât even get it? all i hear is a high pitched whining noise???
donât they know whatâs good for them???
thankfully men listen to womens demands and ideas today and engage them on their own merits
those early 20th century cavemen were like, those suffragettes act like theyâre entitled to equal rights! its like they want to be men! and whaddyathink that makes men?!
its a good thing here in 2019 weâve finally reached equality of the sexes
100 years ago, women were commonly infantilized as a way to dismiss their arguments without having to engage them.
but with women in elected positions being the norm nowadays, their policy proposals are carefully considered and theyâre treated like adults
other common tactic to completely shut down an uppity suffragette was to dismiss her as being too old, ugly or airheaded to matter
thank god we left those attitudes back in the olden days where they belong!
in the previous century, the ideal woman upheld the status quo and it was considered virtuous, dammit
so lets give ourselvse a nice pat on the back for leaving those attitudes behind
Oh God, some of the modern ones are worse. The Michelle one makes my physically ill.
I like how people act like you canât be racist and sleep with a person of color as if misogynists donât sleep with women all the time
I donât know what we did to deserve Mr. Rogers but Iâm so glad we had him.Â

today i finally put together a âbookâ that one of my classes wrote together last year and felt it was necessary to bring back this classic not-at-all-prompted contribution from a then 7 year old: âI got stuck in a castle. I was in its jail. They did not feeded me all I had was a porta potty. I was in jail because I didnât even know there were taxes there. Except I lied. I read a lot about England and I decided I did not want to pay taxes.âÂ
please appreciate that this child was free to write about literally whatever she could imagine about herself time traveling and she wrote about being jailed for tax evasion in the middle ages
The truth is out there đ
Relationships arenât meant to be easy. Youâre not supposed to get along with someone every minute of every day. I see so many people wanting a perfect romance, thinking that a relationship is supposed to be the way it is in movies. Thatâs not what love is to me. I donât think it is supposed to be easy and to just fall in to place and you can read each others minds. Itâs a choice and a commitment to be with someone through good times and bad times. In real life relationships are hard work, learning to communicate better over time, rediscovering the reasons you fell in love with that person in the first place. I spent way too long thinking love is supposed to be like a movie and waiting for a perfect romance before I realised that real love might not seem perfect to everyone else, but it is to me. Real life is not a movie.Â
