Heya, I'm Elcee :) 30, french person lost in Spain somehow (I hate summer please save me), going by they/them pronouns (occasionally she/her, if you know me irl)
Writer, TTRPG enthusiast, music lover, and occasional psychology nerd (not trained, it's just a big interest of mine). And I do art sometimes. When the muses strike.
Mostly posting and reblogging bg3 and writing things, and it's likely going to be like that for a while since I'm currently in the middle of writing my longfic for bg3, but you can consider this place to be a multi interest platform for all the aforementioned hobbies.

Hope over Power - Part I. Closure [AO3 link]
The battle is won, the Netherbrain defeated, and Astarion is free. But as he returns to the shadows, someone fails to follow him —his lover, child of Bhaal, condemned to madness by his own father. For weakness, for disobedience, it matters not, Storm is lost. Astarion navigates his grief with the help of Tav, and fights for closure as they both try to find where the balance of their friendship lies, now that Storm is gone.

I see so many arguments over what is and isn't "good queer representation" that really just boil down to "y'all are actually arguing over matters of taste and genre preference, which is incredibly subjective and personal."
Worldbuilding where being queer is normalized and queerphobia has no impact on the plot? THAT'S FINE. Worldbuilding that includes queerphobia and tackles the effects of it as part of the story? THAT'S ALSO FINE.
Low-stakes queer romcom where the characters are fluffy and cute? THAT'S COOL. Messy queer drama with toxic people who fuck each other over and clash repeatedly? THAT'S ALSO COOL.
Stories that center the characters' queerness, show a trans character's transition, and are about the queerness as much as the rest of the plot? AWESOME. Stories where the characters' queerness isn't treated as a big deal, and have trans characters whose transition happened before the story entirely? ALSO AWESOME.
You may PREFER one thing or another, but it is actually good to have all these things. It's about variety. It's about queer characters being allowed to exist without censorship. It's about queer artists getting to make things without being told we're a "niche issue" or "adult content." It's about having as many goddamn cakes as the bakery can produce.
At the end of the day, I'd prefer a media landscape with fifty pieces of problematic queer representation over a media landscape with one single piece of queer representation that's trying (and usually failing) to be 100% perfect for everything and everyone.
Thank you so much for the questions! 🩶 Happy pride 😁🏳️🌈 ✨ from these pride questions :3
4. Is your oc's environment supportive about their identity? How does this impact them?
For Storm, his childhood family def would have been supportive if he had had time to explore his identity while they were still alive (😬).
Later, he fell in love with a guy when he was 17 while living at the Open Hand temple, and because this is the Forgotten Realms and not real life, I like to think that no one batted an eye at that :3
Then, while living with the Bhaalists, he had way bigger problems than worrying about whether or not his environment was supportive of his bisexuality. Even if, in truth, I think that it was kinda frowned upon for him to engage in sex that was not to create more Bhaalspawns, so anyone without the capacity to bear children would have been looked down upon. But he didn't care AT ALL about what people might say or think. As I said, bigger problems. Like the fact that pretty much all of his partners died at his hands...
For Natavriel, it was also pretty supportive. Siovi called them a girl once when she snatched them away to the Feywild, to which Tav said "I'm not a girl", and that was that.
Much much later, they explored their sexuality while being outside the Feywild. The family that took them in during their years of struggle after they got out was also very supportive of Tav's discovery journey. And that did help with the fear I'm talking about in the next answer, because they had a safe place to talk about these things.
8. Have they had struggles with their identity, be it due to internal or external reasons?
Storm hasn't. In general, his gender and sexuality aren't things he thinks about, much (there would have been room for stuggle, considering Bhaal's breeding obsession, but even then, Storm didn't think about it THAT much. If he had time to truly process his Bhaalist years, I do think some of the trauma would surface and make him struggle and question things.)
Tav on the other hand, has struggled a lot in their younger years.
They are someone who will love quickly, deeply, and openly, and yet for most people, it never seemed to be enough. It is too much to stay into the neat little box of casual friendships that a lot of people feel comfortable with, and people will very often get the wrong idea about Tav's feelings, but it is not enough to satisfy most people.
And so there was a point where Tav wished they would be able to offer what most people want and expect out of a relationship. The grand romantic gestures. The passionate declarations. The all-consuming desire. Because they do want companionship, and after the disaster that their first relationship had been (their partner got very jealous very often because Tav still cared for many of their other friends, would meet new people and be very affectionnate with them as well, things like that), they feared they might never find that.
They did, eventually, but it took a lot of work to get past the fear and worries...
11. Is your oc open about their identity? Are they more lowkey or more blunt about it? Why or why not?
Storm is very open if questionned, nothing feels worth hiding, but he's also not talking about it that much. Non issue for him, he doesn't see why he would need to explain to others his identity.
Tav is a bit more secretive by nature. It's not that they're "in the closet", lol (not a thing in the FR, but you get the idea), but if offered sex, for example, they would simply refuse, without necessarily explaining why (cue to a very confused Astarion at the tiefling party because why on Toril would they refuse him?? Lmao). It feels safer. They're a bit more open about their romantic/sexxual identity if they become really close with someone (as with Storm, for axample)
Gender identity they are very open about with everyone, though, and would take offence to misgendering.
21. Free ramble card wee
Okay, I guess if I get a free ramble card, I have to talk about whatever is going on between Storm and Natavriel :3 (again 🤭🙈)
🧡💛🤍🩵💙
Because the thing is, Storm is entirely allosexual, and bi, and in Tav's experience, getting the kind of emotional attachment they had for him with these types of people (aka sexually inclined and potentially attracted to them) is dangerous. At some point, inevitably, desire is going to poke its nose in the relationship, and everything will be ruined. If Storm had not so desperately needed someone to just be there by his side, Tav would probably had tried to keep their distance when they started to feel strongly for him (at like... day 2 of the journey lol).
They did try, briefly, to be careful about the kind of affection they were giving him, without much success with their self control. And they were still scared, but not even once did he give hints thathe wanted something else than what they were giving him, so they already felt tentatively safe.
And then, it became clear that he was pining after Astarion, and that indeed felt drastically different from the kind of physical affection he was returning to them. When I tell you, the amount of relief Tav felt then xDD
I've often said that Storm and Astarion's relationship benefitted from Tav's presence early on, but the reverse is true as well, Tav became a lot less conflicted/scared that it would go wrong with Storm, once he was involved with Astarion.
And still, he wanted the cuddles with them, too. Heaven for Tav, lmao. Pinnacle of safety.
And Storm did not find this odd, maybe in big part because his memory is a giant black hole and he has no idea about what's conventionnal and what's not. Tav feels like a part of himself, being far away from them hurts him, being near them makes him feel safe, there is absolutely no reason in his mind to be conflicted about what's happening, and it is completely separate from his feelings for Astarion.
if you’re offline or away and i message you something (like a link to a meme or a picture or w/e) honestly just assume that i’m just leaving it there for when you get back and not expecting you to answer straight away. i don’t need you to respond with “hey, sorry, i wasn’t at the computer!” or anything. i was leaving u a gift for later.
This also applies if you’re online and just don’t want to or have the energy to deal with humans in the moment. Just because we have the ability to reply in real time does not mean we have the obligation.
(a mini-fic for bg3 pride month day 7: "yellow - sunlight")
this is the third of the fics + matching VP i plan to post for the rainbow flag days! it's 861 words and can be read below the cut, or on ao3 here if you'd like to leave a kudos or comment!
(if anyone ever wants to be on or off that list, or would like to be tagged specifically for my pride month mini-fics, just let me know!)
i made several photos for this one and they don't even perfectly match the fic but oh well. i wanted to recreate one specific moment but i wasn't sure how to do it, and i had fun with these anyway!
The first thing the morning gave him was sunlight spilling through the curtains.
The second was the smell of eggs and butter from downstairs.
For one disoriented heartbeat, Elenion nearly panicked over how late he must've slept. Then the morning settled around him properly. Waterdeep was quiet beyond the window, the Starlit Gallery was closed for the day, and Gale was making breakfast.
He stayed in bed a moment longer, warm beneath the sheets as he slowly woke.
Once, he would've braced himself for cold sheets and an empty bed. It had always hurt less when he left first, slipping away before dawn rather than staying long enough to reach for warmth that had already vanished.
Now, he smelled breakfast on the stove and heard Gale humming softly downstairs, and never wondered if he'd been left.
He only smiled into the pillow. Of course Gale was there.
When he finally wandered downstairs, he found Gale with his sleeves rolled up and his hair loose from sleep, frowning at the eggs as if they had just presented an argument he found academically unsound. A plate of fruit and pancakes was already keeping warm beside him.
Sunlight poured through the window beside him, catching the gray in his hair and making it shine like threads of gold.
For a moment, all Elenion could do was stand in the doorway.
"Good morning, husband," Gale said, with a fondness that made his heart give a ridiculous little stumble.
Terribly rude of his husband to do this to him first thing in the morning.
"Morning, babe," he said softly.
"You know," Gale said, still facing the stove, "I can feel you staring."
Insufferable, really.
"I'm just admiring the breakfast."
"You are admiring me in the general direction of the breakfast."
"Can a man not appreciate both?"
Gale looked back at him then, smiling in the morning light, and Elenion pictured himself doing something truly embarrassing. Like crossing the room just to kiss Gale on the cheek, or writing an unbearably sincere song about the sunlight in his hair before the eggs were even done.
Thankfully, before he could get farther than one hopeless step, Tara landed on the windowsill with a flick of her wings. "Mr. Dekarios, I do hope there is something suitable for civilized company."
"Silverdew-Dekarios now, Tara," Gale said, far too quickly.
Tara blinked at him. "Yes, quite right. Mr. Silverdew-Dekarios, then."
Gale's ears went pink.
"A fine name," she added, her yellow eyes softening in the sunlight. "Though you must forgive an old friend for taking time to adjust. I have called you Dekarios since you were a boy lecturing his porridge on consistency, after all."
"Tara!" Gale protested. "I am not certain that story needed preserving."
"All important history must be preserved, Mr. Silverdew-Dekarios." Tara glanced at Elenion. "Surely your husband, of all people, understands that."
Elenion broke into laughter before he could stop himself.
At nearly the same moment, their rabbit Moonbow burst into the kitchen and thumped one little white paw against the floor with all the urgency of a creature who had never been fed in her life.
Gale let out a weary sigh before surrendering to the inevitable. He presented a portion of fish to Tara as if it were a royal offering, then crouched to set Moonbow's greens on the floor. She sniffed the plate twice as if confirming the quality of his work, and only then did she accept them.
“Your household management has improved,” Tara said.
"My gratitude overwhelms me," Gale deadpanned.
"It should."
Elenion was still smiling when sunlight slipped over Gale's hand as he returned to the pan. The gold half of his wedding band gleamed bright against his skin, tiny moon engravings shining where his fingers curled around the edge of the counter. Elenion's matching ring, of gold moons and silver stars, suddenly felt warm on his own hand.
Once, Gale had nearly left the world behind for something higher, colder, lonelier. A place in the heavens, a name in prayers. A light too distant to touch. He'd offered to carry Elenion's name further than any mortal stage ever could, until the whole world sang his praise. The kind of glory that would drown out every doubt.
And yet this was everything Elenion wanted.
He loved Gale in the sunlight because it did not make him distant.
It found him here.
It gilded the gray in his hair, warmed the floor beneath his feet, and caught on the ring he wore because he'd chosen this mortal life beside Elenion.
And somehow, Elenion had chosen it too.
Later, when breakfast had been eaten and Tara and Moonbow had declared themselves satisfied in their own ways, Gale offered him his hand.
"Walk with me, my star?"
"Always, my moonlight," Elenion said.
His heeled boots clicked over sun-dappled cobblestones as they walked through busy market streets full of peddlers, performers, and yellow awnings. Not too long ago, he would've felt the press of so many eyes on him and reached for a mask. But being seen like this, walking in daylight with Gale’s hand warm in his own, felt nothing like performance.
It felt like home.
If anyone is curious, their wedding bands are basically combined versions of these rings I found online. The silver one was Elenion's originally and the gold one was Gale's, but they get cut in half and fused together to make half-and-half wedding rings as per a common Sword Coast tradition.
(I don't have any art of how the fused rings actually look. I should probably get some or draw an MS paint doodle lol)
New drawing for the the red sorcerer Caedus character sheet.
I redraw all drawings of the character sheet because I don't like the drawing.
Here I redrew Caedus with their camp outfit. Caedus wears clothes we don't see their big body scars, Caedus doesn't like these scars and they don't to show the scars.
Caedus loves to wear jewels, here they're wearing two necklaces. One is the Periapt of Wound Closure amulets, I love so much the deesign of the amulets and Caedus during their adventure wears this amulets.
Often Necklaces can hide their body scars when the shirt is little opened.
And one more left drawing for the character sheet!!
7. Is there something that could cause your oc to question their identity? What?
For Storm:
6. How does your oc feel about labels? Theirs, or in general?
General:
19. Do you have preferences about depicting homo/transphobia in your stories? What, and why? Does it vary by story?
Thank you so much for the questions 🩶 Happy pride 😁🏳️🌈
from these pride questions :3
Natavriel
5. How did you figure out your oc's identity?
Honestly, it kinda just... happened. Initially when I started writing the story, the identities of both Tav and Storm were very blurry in my mind because 1)it tends to be blurry for me myself xD, and 2)it did not matter much for the story itself. Genderwise for example, there's a world in which Storm would have been a woman and Tav would have been amab nb, or even Storm being nb, and Tav being cis, and it would have changed near to nothing to the story lol
Tav being ace offered a nice perspective on the Astarion situation, even if I haven't explored that in depth, that's definitely something they will keep talking about. So that part settled quickly because I liked the narrative possibilities that it offers.
And once their sexuality kinda settled in my mind, the rest followed naturally, I was like oh okay, they're asexual, they're like me lol. So from there my own gender and sexuality just became Tav's ^^ (as in, agender asexual panromatic and polyam --yes I'm an alien even to a lot of queer ppl, I'm aware) The fact that Tav also floats somewhere on the aro spectrum wasn't something that I anticipated, it took me by surprise, but I think that's mostly because I'm still discovering that part of myself, and so that's kinda what happened for Tav as well.
I find this pretty funny, because Tav is one of the characters that is the furthest away from me in term of personality lol. Queer identity is pretty much one of the only things I share with Natavriel ^^
7. Is there something that could cause your oc to question their identity? What?
I really don't think so. Natavriel is almost 400 years old, and while there was confusion and questioning at some point in their life, that's long gone. The gender identity was something they knew from a very young age (cause, again, that's my experience, even if I didn't have words for it when I was a child, that's what makes sense to me).
The asexuality is probably what took Tav the longest to figure out. They had one relationship with a woman some time after leaving the Feywild, and that one was very romantically and sexually inclined, and that ended badly, for both of them. It hurt Tav a lot, it hurt their girlfriend a lot, all in all not a great first experience. Tav kinda got scared to get involved with other people after that, and it took a long while before they tried to find companionship again. But they got it, eventually, and there's not much room left for questioning anymore :3
Storm
6. How does your oc feel about labels? Theirs, or in general?
Oh this is going to be short hahaha.
He... does not care xD As in: his gender or sexuality is not something that he ever questioned or was confused about, and he never really felt the need to put a name to it. It just is.
The only instances he would care, is if the labels were important to someone close to him, and other people disrespected that. But in general, putting a name to these things is not something he really thinks about much. (also because in the context of the Forgotten Realms, there's a lot more tolerane than irl, so I don't see labels mattering as much in general, for me personally)
General
19. Do you have preferences about depicting homo/transphobia in your stories? What, and why? Does it vary by story?
I feel like this kinda shows in my previous answers and both Tav and Storm's attitude, but in general I like the queerness to be a non-issue. The queerness is an inherent part of my stories because it is an inherent part of me, and when writing in fantasy settings especially, I like it to be a normal part of the world that no one is going to stop and gawk at, or question, ot hate over, because that's how I would like it to be irl lol (like, I don't really do coming outs, for example ^^ I know thats a controversial stance for a lot of people, but I just can't be bothered. If people assume that I am cis and straight, that's on them. I don't care. And if they wanna hate when they find out, that's also not my problem. I have very little social energy, and I do not want to waste it having conversations that feel pointless to me. Of course, I am aware that I can afford to have that stance because I'm privileged enough to generally not be in danger because of my identity... But yeah... non issue is the dream for me, so that's mostly what I like to write)
It does vary from story to story though. If I were to write a contemporary story happening in our world, I would probably write more about intolerance than I generally do in fantasy settings. I have written about fictional societies where gender roles were a thing and pretty strict, occasionally, and had some of my characters struggle with that (mostly in terms of gender identity, not so much in terms of sexuality), but I always like to balance that with places where it is a non issue in my worldbuilding, to counterbalance that.
Wanted to experiment with different ratios a bit. Can't decide which I prefer, so I'm including both + two wips I haven't shared before.
Had hard last two weeks, but I really wanted to post those today; to commemorate a certain reblog :3 (iykyk) Hopefully I'll be able to be more active again soon!
Alright, now that I've had time to process and stare at them for a few hours, JUST LOOK AT THEM!!!! 🥹🥹🩶🥰
This is incredible, Candle, and it makes me so so happy 🩶
The framing of that first one is so cool, from afar and yet very intimate, like we're witnessing the moment but not intruding in it, I love that. And the lighting is so soft and beautiful :3 The night orchids are a very nice touch hehe
And then the way Storm is looking at Tav?? I will never recover 😭🩶 The light on him is particularily satisfying, too! I love everything you done with Tav (the jewellery!! and the hair!! the clothes!! it's wonderful) even if I think I aleady told you that haha
Kirian looks as cool as ever (is that a Delilah Coperspoon inspired outfit? I dunno why, it kinda made me think of her haha), I'm sure Tav is gushing over eir tattoo :3
And those shots of Yae are incredible, I love that you did revisit the wip one from the previous post because it's definitely worth it! The way the light behave on that one might be my favourite :3
Now it's canon for me haha, in at least some universe, Tav and Storm become friends with Yae and Kirian 🩶
Sure, parents shouldn't have favorite children, buuuut....
Thank you for the tag @missfortunetherogue 🩶
Hope over Power
First child, born from desperate times, they make my life infinitely better. They've had big revelations about themself in the process of growing up, and we've had to take steps together so they could live up to their potential and be true to who they are. Adjusting to the changes is a lot of work, but I'm very proud of them for having the strength to realise what they wanted to be.
Conflicts of the Mind
The trouble child. A bundle of anxiety and conflicting feelings. They keep running away from home, and when they come back they refuse to cooperate with me. One day we'll get things sorted, but in the meantime all I can do is be patient and show the love I have for them.
Home
Must be protected. That one carries a weight too big for them. I am proud of the strength they display.
Violent Delights, Violent Ends
We, huh.... don't talk about that one. Dark child, even when compared to the rest of their admitedely already very troubled siblings. I love them dearly anyway.
First Snow
The odd one out, the unplanned child that took me by surprise. All sweetness and smiles, where their siblings are tears and despair.
A Name is a Powerful Thing
I rarely had a delivery be this painless. They are flying with their own wings now, and I couldn't be prouder.
Here Comes the Sun Again
The ray of sunshine, master of silverlinings. This one is the one to give hope to all their troubled siblings during the toughest times. They were also an unplanned child, but I don't know what I'd do without them.
His fangs mean Death
My latest. I don't know quite how this one came to be what they are, but they are pining and yearning (for dubious reasons, might I add), and have inherited the only horny braicell of the family.
This was rather fun haha, and this is the only parenthood I'll ever claim x) This is a good exercise to realise that I am, in fact, rather productive. Despite what my mind keeps telling me.
