I am going to need at least one other person to call Armand attractive in the next episode because it’s getting weird. You can’t cast the most beautiful man anyone has ever seen to play the infamously beautiful character whose beauty people cannot stop commenting on in the books and just not have anyone say anything.

The point isn’t that Daniel is the only one to find him appealing. It’s that everyone else only sees the surface beauty, whereas Daniel sees the surface beauty and the horrors beneath and loves him for all of it.

Until proven otherwise, I 100% think Armand and Daniel's bond is the way it is because of two things:

1. The fact that the blood exchanges between them during their past love affair helped to seed it, and like any seed, it just grew over time to the full bloom it is at now, long before Daniel was turned, and

2. Armand's status as one of the most skilled Mind Gift users among vampires on the planet. I think a part of it is a manifestation of Armand's will and desire to be alone with Daniel. To be with him alone, and no one else in the world. And on Daniel's end of it, that is what Armand became for him in the books during their romance, which was Daniel's whole world.

I don't care if they both think it's fucked, I think it's beautiful. 😭

And yes, I think Armand was feeling that strong bond, and how it works between them, during everything in Dubai as well...

the way this episode left me with even more questions about Daniel’s turning. He was turned on a private jet??? Did Armand personally escort him home by getting on the plane with him?? Did Daniel let him?? Or was he just hiding on the plane the entire time? Did they reconcile at some point in between the Dubai fight and the plane incident?? Daniel has some of his memories back now??? He sure as hell knows Armand is responsible for something more in his past than he’s letting on - confirmation that the Devil’s Minion era happened and Armand wiped it from his mind??? Armand has been absent for the past two years, so how soon after his turning did he leave??? Was it out of guilt?? A way to try and regain control?? Fear of facing his own fledgling??? Only for him to admit he feels the same rapture feeling Daniel describes, unable to run from his only fledgling for the sheer strength of their vampiric bond?? Armand all but outright admitting that he LOVES HIM??? That he loves Daniel SO MUCH that he was actively distracted during the interview the ENTIRE TIME???
