Based: Our characters were involved years ago and they run into each other in a club, forced to face the problems that were left unsolved.
A jagged breath escaped parted lips when they came into view. Out of all of the places in the bustling city they could have gone, why wouldn’t they be there? Every feature of their face held memories for Lyla, especially now when the corners of their lips were upturned. it was bittersweet though as it meant that they hadn’t seen the brunette yet. Should she make herself known? After all, she’d come out for a good time and their encounter would be anything but. Not after the way they left things in the middle of the dimly lit boulevard on the other side of the entrance.
All she could do was glance back, hopeful that their eyes would meet. Maybe instead of the hate-filled glare she knew she’d get, they’d be overtaken with the same love and passion that scared Lyla away in the first place. She was immature then and by no means ready for someone with their capacity for love. That was different now and even though she knew the chances were slim, she was ready for whatever they had to offer her.

“Everything you said was so hot, so yes.” Clyde snorted as he glanced out the window and watched the city lights as his vision blurred. It wasn’t like Clyde didn’t beat the fuck out of the guy it just so happened to be after he already did some damage. The blood pooling beneath the skin on his cheek and the split lip wouldn’t keep him from working and he knew there was nothing like a little put on sob story to make people give him sympathy tips. For Clyde it all worked out eventually. “I love your daddy issues, I’m so happy ye have a dad for that.” The blonde grinned as he got out and waited for her to follow. The dimply lit 24 hour liquor store was hilarious to Clyde and he loved it entirely. “Just for tonight okay? I’ll be back on me two stupid feet tomorrow.”
“Oh trust me, I know. But your kindness is appreciated. Consider it a deal then.” The brunette brought a hand up to her chest for a moment, pleasant smile tugging her lips as if it had warmed her naturally icy heart. That was a feat that little managed to reach, but Clyde was one of the few she actually trusted so even if they were kidding it truly gave her at least a little bit of joy. Once she’d dropped it back to the wheel, she found herself messing with the stereo in an attempt to find a decent station to stick to. It was in her nature to never sit still despite the fact that they were nearing her favorite liquor store. “I’d like to believe that they attribute to my finer qualities. Thank god I’m broken and rich, hmm?” The joke slipped between upturned lips. She’d made it plenty of times before and it wasn’t like she’d stop now. She followed Clyde’s lead though once they pulled into the shady parking lot and placed her hands into the pockets of her jacket. “Well when you’re done playing Mr. Independent, you can come back by . I’d like to think my couch is pretty damn comfortable and since Whorey Lori moved out, all I’ve had to do is watch the paint dry.”

“you wouldn’t believe the kind of shitshow i checked in this morning.” baby smirked, leaning across the desk to the other, glad that they finally arrived. she hated her shifts without them - it was far too boring in that ratty old hotel. they, somehow, enjoyed trouble as mush as she. “i bet they’re gonna leave a fucking mess in their room, you know the kind where we should just throw out all the sheets and rip up the carpets and burn the room instead of cleaning it.” maybe a bit over-dramatic, but that was baby all the time. “so to reward ourselves, i was thinking copping a bottle of champagne and the pool tonight?”
Most people dreading going to their day jobs, especially when it was as tedious as the one that Lyla had but Baby made her experience there bearable and dare she say enjoyable. So much so that whenever she entered the automatic doors, a bright smile was plastered on her face at prospect of what kind of trouble they’d be getting themselves into that evening. “If they’re anything like 205, we might be getting some free shit out of it. Unless its like, crack or something.” The brunette chuckled, setting her bag down behind the counter as she joined her partner in crime. “I swear it’s like you live in my head. I’m down for anything alcohol related and I’m pretty sure we have that bitch coming in from nights though, so we’re gonna have to be extra sneaky.” Her eyes rolled dramatically and she proceeded to clock in, turning back to Baby with a glimmer of mischief in her eyes. “It’s actually quiet right now, wanna just go grab a bottle anyway?”

despite not actually being in college, zaid sure had a habit of hanging around the parties. well to be fair, that’s where he made a lot of deals, and he wasn’t going to turn down free booze. though the music was less than desirable. as he scanned the crowd, waiting for his next buyer, his eyes settled on one who definitely seemed out of place. they weren’t a usual to these gatherings, and he figured they must be new. but it was painfully obvious that they didn’t party. they were too wide eyed and innocent, and his own eyes widened as they happily made their way over to him. with a bit of pip in their step, they stood in front of him, leaving zaid confused. “uhm, can i help you?” he raised an eyebrow, taking another sip of the beer in his hand, his eyes going back to the room around them.
Jess wasn’t quite sure what had brought her here in the first place. Her typical scene was little get togethers consisting of friends from mutual classes but tonight she felt the need to follow in her twin sisters footsteps and get out of her comfort zone. She didn’t particularly know anyone there. The only person was the one hosting it, a girl she sat behind in Sociology but she had never really spoken with her in a friendly way. In fact the only real interaction they had aside from consulting each other on classwork was when she pointed Jess to the nearest dealer, suggesting she try out whatever he happened to have for sale. It took her amoment to muster the confidence to do so, but eventually she found herself walking in his direction with delicate hands tucked deep in the pockets of her jeans. “Hi-- I was told you’d know where I could find some weed.” Her tone was as discreet as she could make it given their location and her eyes remained glued to him though his returned to wandering.”
— ♡ After binging half of The Society, I’ve decided to switch Jess’ fc to Kristine Froseth so like this and I’ll write you a starter from my lil ball of sunshine!
“not exactly.” he thought to himself of all the times his mother forced him to memorize the corners of the palace & its surroundings. “ — but i would enjoy watching you do. would you do the honors of distracting the witnesses? “
“Absolutely. Just make sure that once eyes are off of you, you make your move. And hurry up about it hmm? I still have to make my escape.” The brunette stood from her chair, taking the work she had in front of her along for an overly detailed question directed towards their instructor. Truly she hated such conversations but for the sake of escaping the monotony, she’d do just about anything.

eamonn blinks at drea, seeming genuinely confused. “ but, like… this is easy ?? ” he takes the pen off her and spins the notepad around to face him. “ you just integrate the derivative and you end up with what you started with. simple. what don’t you get about it ?? ” he asks his friend, looking concerned for her wellbeing. “ and i will graciously accept a burrito. ” he adds as an afterthought.
The words that came from his math sounded like gibberish and she sighed, running a hand through her hair. “Any of it, to be honest. I have no fucking clue what you just said and I feel like an idiot.” Truth was, math had never been her strong suit. She wasn’t sure how she even managed to scrape by in math during high school but she sure as hell wouldn’t now. “As long as you show me step by step what the hell you did to get that, then the burrito is yours.”
