In our journeys to love ourselves and to become our own besties, sometimes it can be difficult to move past the punishing voice in our brain; the one that beats you up for everything you've failed at, or maybe the mistakes you made in the past.
You want to forgive yourself for your failings, but you can't seem to convince yourself that you deserve to be forgiven.
But here's the secret; no one deserves to be forgiven, ever. If you hurt someone, no amount of giving them gifts, or being nice to them, or letting them punch you, or whatever else will ever make you DESERVE their forgiveness.
Forgiveness is fundamentally not something owed or deserved. Forgiveness is a choice and an act of love. You need to show yourself love and make the conscious decision to work on forgiving yourself. It won't click in your head right away but, next time you're beating yourself up you can say: "it's okay. I love you. I forgive you." Soon enough, you'll start believing it and feeling it.

Stick to a skincare routine if you don't at the moment
Apply a deep repair treatment to your hair, or get it done at a salon

Use a facial hair bleach to get rid of the mustache if you want LOL
Use a subtle fake tanner to contour your face or even out your skin tone
Use teeth whitening strips
Moisturize ur hands (and ur dry elbows :P)
Exfoliate your body with a glove
Shape your eyebrows in a way that is flattering to your face
Dye your eyebrows and/or eyelashes
Try an at-home lash lift (i use iconlash!)
Use a hair gloss on your hair to give it a tint and make it shinier
♥ self care things to stop being scared of ♥
-♥- calorie counting. it's just a tool to help you figure out how much you should eat to take optimal care of your body. nothing more, nothing less. the diet industry and a variety of other disordered groups have twisted and demonized calorie counting, but it doesn't have to be anything more than a guideline there to help you take care of your body.
-♥- skin care routines with a lot of steps. for a beginner, it can be intimidating to see people have 8-10 step skincare routines, but the truth is even just two or three steps is a great start. you might just get addicted and start adding more steps though! <3
-♥- doing things halfway. all or nothing mentalities kill self care. it's better to clean your room a little than not at all. it's better to go on a short walk than not get any exercise at all.
-♥- getting dressed or putting makeup on to go nowhere important. when you've convinced yourself you need people to see you to justify doing things like getting dressed or putting makeup on, you teach yourself that those actions are for other and not yourself. if an outfit or makeup makes you feel clean and pretty and nice, you should do it regardless of whether someone will see you or not- it's because YOU deserve it.

-to improve your relationship with food, including unhealthy food (the occasional treat will feel a lot better if you're not indulging all the time!)
-to avoid cycles of self hatred that come after periods of binging or unhealthy eating
-to practice self respect and giving yourself the love and pampering you deserve
-to avoid immediate health complications such as diabetes or heart diseases, some of which may run in your family
-to expand your cooking skills for yourself and potentially people you love and may want to cook (nutritious) food for
-to learn to love foods besides the junk food (loving fruits and veggies>>>)
-to save money (cooking at home can be a lot cheaper than buying snacks and treats all the time!)
-to avoid getting your body dependent on sugar, and the complications of that dependency (constantly craving sugar, getting withdrawal symptoms, health issues that may come from that)
-to develop healthy habits to keep you aging gracefully- if you want to be active and independent into old age and avoid serious health problems such as dementia, health is going to keep getting more important. it's easier to change sooner and set yourself up for a full and complete life.
-to help with any potential issues you may have with sleep, digestion, or energy levels

I WANNA CHANGE MY APPEARANCE- BUT NOT TOO MUCH! a list of possible ideas
1. Get highlights in your hair.
2. Get your nails done, or get some nail supplies and do them yourself (gel manicures are fairly simple to do at home if you have what you need).
3. Get bangs/ cut your hair just a little.
4. Get a piercing, or get fake piercings
5. Browse pinterest for a new style of clothing and invest in a new closet.
6. Get a lash lift.
7. Dye or bleach your eyebrows (use facial dye or bleach, e.g. just for men)
8. Laminate your brows.
9. Get colored contacts to wear for pictures/ going out (RESEARCH THE MATERIALS OF THE CONTACTS AND DONT WEAR THEM TOO OFTEN!!)
10. Prioritize exercise and body recomposition through the gym.
11. Invest in some new fragrances.
12. Invest in more/better skincare, including a body lotion and oil.
13. Get some hair oils and masks to improve your hair health.
14. Buy some fake tattoos to apply when going out if that's a vibe you like.
