This is an EXTREMELY blessed post! And accurate! When I first moved out I was so excited for my new place I slept on the floor and had my tv there and that was it. Loved it. You grow and you build and you gain and you lose. I lost that place and everything in it. Now I have a new place with new things and it’s very much home.

If rape shouldn't be depicted in film then neither should murder, war, natural disasters, terror attacks, torture, accidents, suicide, etc, etc. Or what? Are those things not equally horrible as well? Are there no people in the world who have suffered trauma from those things that would ALSO feel deeply uncomfortable with films depicting them? Are those people not as important as rape survivors or what?

Not comfortable watching a movie with a rape scene for any reason? Don't watch. The reviews can warn you about it (I do agree it sucks there are no tags in films like there are in fanfiction where you can be warned about potential triggers without being spoilt though, I think they are as important as the rating, but that is different from saying "depiction=bad").

Also, no movie goer will ever be as interested in trivial bowel problems we all have once or twice in our lives as they are on the many great evils humans can do to each other. Deal with it.
