⏳ Somewhere in the city, a chase was already in motion. But here, it was just the two of you—waiting for who would make the first move.
The lounge was dimly lit, the golden glow from the overhead chandeliers casting deep shadows against the walls. The air was thick with the scent of whiskey and expensive perfume, a low hum of conversation filling the space as people slipped into quiet corners, murmuring over half-finished drinks.
But none of that mattered.
Because across the room, he was watching you.
Jake sat casually at the bar, one arm draped along the back of the leather stool, a glass of something dark and amber in front of him. He looked too at ease, the kind of effortless calm that came with knowing exactly how much control you had over a situation.
And right now?
He had all of it.
Poem I wrote this morning, because I got kicked out of the shelter I was staying at. Girls have been picking on me- they took used oil and mixed it in with my food, told everyone I do witchcraft when I am very devout Christian, and other lies. Spiritual warfare at the finest, I set a boundary and the girl who this was all coming from got mad at me, the staff sided with her; they're afraid of me suing them... Apparently these were all "accusations" but everyone in the shelter was coming to me telling me about what she was doing. Its okay. I'm grateful to have God with me, and you guys. :) The staff had the audacity to call me privileged, I am a homeless woman, who is a survivor of abuse. A male staff member watched me get dressed too, which made me uncomfortable. They never called the cops, they were going to but I have proof of all these claims; they hung up the phone and kicked me out instead.
anywaysss... yep...
Corrupt politicians who been bought out by capitalists have always made democracy structurally impossible for their own benefit. Citizens United that legalized corruption made it worse.
What these people are saying is they don't care if thousands of hundreds of thousands people worldwide get affected by climate crisis. As long as i keep my money.
every single one of you that loves beyond evil and or the devil judge and or blind, needs to go watch vigilante right now! i just finished watching it ( its only 8 ep) and wow im so obsessed, this was so good i dont know what to say.
rly enjoyed that ending scene aswel, it said sm, it also reminded me of the ending to devil judge a bit
premice : guy is a cop during day and batman at night and he tries to tell the world about the wrong parts of the justice system
something I love about the SCP foundation is how it's realistically corrupt. It traumatizes it's creatures through unethical tests (054, the water nymph, is the first that comes to mind. Poor girl :( ) with little to no care for their trama. It collects prisoners to use in unethical testing where they'll all die, with the justification of "Well if they're in these prisons, they're bad people, so it's probably fine," which just straight up ignores criminal injustice lol. They're a GOVERMNET organization. They kidnap people to literally remove any of their memories relating to an SCP, including their family if the SCP killed them. They justify all of this via "were keeping the world safe from these freaks!!". There's good people in their who just work for a bad system but they perpetuate it. It's evil, by all means. It's kinda just special creature cops.
All of this to say, if people in the SCP universe knew about the foundation, they'd be a bunch of people saying ASAB
All SCP foundationites are bastards
