so the tiktok ban was literally just propaganda for the trump administration. like. we all agree with that right. this is just laughably transparent. the ban wasn't even 24 hours. not even a whole day. to quote my infinitely funnier mutual from Discord, "Misha Collins was bisexual longer than TikTok was banned"
hi it's my birthday so here's a few of my personal works that i like and hope you enjoy too 💜🌾
A comic about vulnerability and yearning! Except it’s not the nice good kind
Your name still triggers me. And when someone shows me the slightest affection, I will distance myself. I don't want to experience again the pain that losing them would entail. My heart is not built for that anymore.
LET SOMEBODY GO (Behind The Scenes)
I called the mathematicians and I ask them to explain.
Tress of the Emerald Sea out of context
I’m very excited cause I finally got my copy of Tress of the Emerald Sea. I just stated but I already love Tress’s unruly hair.
Also I made an instagram if you want to follow me (no pressure though!) .You can find me at barlydoodles
I wish I wasn't constantly so overwhelmed, overwhelmed with love and overwhelmed with sadness, with company and with loneliness, overwhelmed with emotions and without, overwhelmed with noise and with silence. with-
“ It’s overwhelming; that need to feel understood… your feelings cradled by another’s loving hands.”
To be human.

The Recloseted Lesbian. I Don't Mind Them
La Vie D’Adèle (2013) Dir. Abdellatif Kechiche
How many times am I going to watch the love interest (LI) of color get broken up with or rejected or written off in favor of the white LI? Or written as literally just an obstacle for a main character (MC) x white LI? We rarely get to see POC in that kind of role and when we do they are never endgame. IDC if the white LI is more compatible with them or the LI of color has a satisfying arc, it's still annoying and it's still tiring to see this over and over again. Stop writing POC as the wrong choice. Why are we never the right choice for the MAIN character?
This issue isn't "they should pick the love interest of color just because they are POC" or "WAH WAH my ship isn't endgame I'm gonna whine about it" because I don't even believe that. For example, I like Marcus Baker more than I like Hunter Chen. The issue is that the white LI is always written as "the right choice" or are given better treatment in terms of development and relationship to main character. The issue is that the "right choice" is never a POC. Even if the LI of color is equally as good or better than the white one, they still aren't endgame.
And although sometimes the characters have good storylines after being rejected or even a good LI for themselves, it still feels like a slap on the face to constantly be "not the one."
Even when the white LI is a toxic piece of shit (or used to be) and the LI of color who has been generally great to MC, white LI is still picked (Rahim from Sex Education, Marco in Kissing Booth 2, etc.) God forbid the POC make some mistakes, because both the writers and fandom will hold it against them. But that white character, they can be awful and sometimes not even apologize for anything and still be the saint.
Never Have I Ever is the only piece of media that I haven't seen this from, but it still seems like they want the audience to root for white love interest based on how they promote shit and it seems like it's going to happen.
Jane the Virgin also had Jane marry Micheal when everyone thought Rafael was Latino, but then after we find out he's white he gets to be endgame lmao. I know this is a reach/complete coincidence, but it's always main character x white person regardless.
