Day 6- Oh No I Forgot About Koussevitzky

Time practiced: Bruh idk I went to IHOP though it was kinda good

Totally forgot I was asked to give a performance of the Koussevitzky in 2 weeks (two weeks?!?!??). I haven’t looked at it in months. Why couldn’t coronavirus cancel this event and not the ones I actually practiced for?

Anyways expect some Kouss-Kouss on your feed as I try and save the mess fantastique I got myself into.

Also, enjoy my suffering as I try to remember what harmonics are.

Day 5(?)-Mars and just bleh

I changed my strings a couple hours ago and started Mars, because I’m playing it with my youth orchestra . These strings hate me but they sound good so oh well. Idk. I practiced for like 2 hours but I’m just kinda over it today

Coronavirus cancelled all of my performances

I was booked for two recitals, one in the state musical festival, and one local festival. Both were cancelled. My states Allstate auditions were all canceled. Everything I was working towards is now just like, not a thing anymore.

I’m gonna start posting practice videos again, I’ve just been kinda frustrated.

Day 3- Kind of?

Day 2: Orchestral/Solo

Time practiced: 4ish hours

I spent most of my time at an orchestra rehearsal, we were sight reading music for our next concert. So:

Holst: The Planets

Rossini: William Tell Overture

And guess who’s playing their concerto with the orchestra?? Me ;)). So I worked on that a little

I mainly practiced Sonata 1963, as I’ll be playing it soon.

ALSO: if anyone knows how to improve the quality of videos posted, let me know bc the day one video looks like trash when I posted it.

Day 1- Bach/Orchestral

Time practiced: 1.5 hours.

Bach:

I really tried to focus on phrasing in the Bach Allemende, as well as intonation. I recently performed this piece and it fell flat on stage

I really need to work on my intonation, I’ve been playing out of tune recently
