guys i really miss dancing. like, in the kind of way where my body still remembers how it felt to move without thinking, how music could just take over and everything else would fade out, even with ballet where the moves are more codified, i felt like i could fly. there was something so freeing about it, almost like breathing differently, like existing for no reason other than the rhythm.

but now life feels louder, heavier with responsibility. i keep telling myself i have to focus on studying, on building a “real job” (my parents’ and teachers’ words not mine) and i get it, it’s what i have to do in today’s society. still, there’s a part of me that aches for the version of me that used to live through movement, that used to find meaning in something as simple as a song and a stretch of floor.
